Screen flickering
How often does it happen? Is it an everytime issue or occasional?
Did you try plugging the power from a different socket? Alternately try with a different power cable (borrow from friend to test). Once you have identified whether it's your laptop or cable, take the next steps. If the laptop is in warranty, consult your seller/vendor for services
My webcam shortcut not available
By default, the webcam icon does not appear on the desktop. However, if you want a quick access to your webcam application, you can create a shortcut on the desktop:
- Click Start, and then All programs.
- Click the Acer Crystal Eye webcam folder.
- Right-click Acer Crystal Eye webcam, click Send to and then Desktop (create shortcut).
Why does my pc turns off by itself
This problem is usually caused by overheating. Either the processor or the power supply. I've also seen it happen when too many devices are powered from the power supply. Open the case and clean all the "dust bunnies" out of the cooling fans and ductwork. Make sure all the fans turn when you power it up. Use a can of "Electronic Chiller" to cool the processor while things are running. If it stays on, you've found the culpril. It not, replace the power supply.
Screen scratch laptop
Try an external monitor and attach it to the Video out port on the side of the computer. If you still have the same line on the Monitor, then you have a fault within the system. Try updating the drivers to see if that fixes the problem. If after all of that, and the problem exists; then the LCD screen has a defect or the mainboard electronics is causing the situation to occur. A professional technician would be your next step.
Speaker problem
I don't know exactly what to say about this one, but if your speakers are acting like microphones, you might want to be sure you've got them plugged into the speaker jack, not the microphone jack.
Speakers technically CAN pick up sound vibrations, but generally they don't unless they are specifically set up that way by professionals. That's all I've got, sorry.
Unexpected shutdown with my acer laptop
if it keeps shutting down/ CRASHING and then it goes to a blue screen leave it for about 30 mins and if it does it again get your RAM upgraded from whatever GB it currently is to about 4, 5 or 6 GB!!

Try to update your BIOS. Download it here :
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/driversYou must need USB Flashdrive to update it. Please make sure that your USB Flashdrive is bootable. Here's the link on how to make USB Flashdrive bootable:
http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/usb-drive-bootable/After you make your USB FLashdrive bootable, copy that BIOS update folder in your USB flashdrive. Please also rename it in simple words so that you can easily access it using command prompt. And after that make your USB flashdrive as first boot priority. Couldn't get rid of mpowereing technology pop up. Tried every solution offered by the internet. Finally I noticed when I powered up my computer the pop up showed up even before the computer loaded anything. I turned off the power to the monitor and powered it back up an viola, pop up gone. The Acer monitor had generated the pop up.
My Acer X1110 switches off as soon as blue light comes on?
it needs service, and service manuals are hard to find on anything by the likes of ACER.
this projector worked for 12 long years, did you own it 12 or bought a bad projector, no history told as I can buy dead projectors all day long. and hard nut problems even hacking done.
Acer X1110 data projector Standard throw projector..
did you know most projectors have serious grade protective devices inside??? (tamper and overheating are 2)
did you read owners manual page 32 yet, errors.
LED codes.?
there are 4 LED, and all 4 matter, projector turned (ON) (not one =1)
also in pairs glowing and also if blinking or not, so read page 32
it tells all that.
my guess is overheat failures, even cold, due fan slow or packed in lint after 12 years of use and no service done,.

''e'' button :acer empowering technology
That button can be set using the utility on your programs list
It maybe that you accidentally turned it off or set it to do some other task.
Start there first before re-installing the program that sets it.
That is on one of the cds that should have come with it and can be installed by itself.
