Akai TV power supply problem.

Completely understandable concern. I have fixed 9 AKAI LCT2715 power supplies for other people who have contacted me through fixya.com and 2 through my instructable on instructables.com.

I did notice that you posted this under AKAI LCT3201 TD 32in. LCD Television TV/DVD Combo troubleshooting... I do not remember posting to anything other than the problems concerning AKAI LCT 2715 27in TV's. But in any case this could be the same issue for you as I have noticed a common failure point on AKAI TV's is due to the poor power supply components they use.

As far as trust is concerned I can not really say anything more other than I do keep in contact via email about the parts that are shipped to me to let the customer know when it arrives as well as discussing payment options up front so you know what to expect. I also offer paypal as a payment option and I send an invoice via paypal when the power supply is ready to ship.

Thank you for your question and I hope this helps you understand how this general process works for more cases.

Multiple attempts to Turn on the TV

It's common for capacitors on the power supply board to go bad (tops will swell up) and cause the same problem. these new LCD tv's are all very bad when it comes to power surges.
