My tv was cycling on and off by itself. every now
Hi,
I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble. This is a common problem on Samsung plasma TV's. Though without being there, i cannot provide legitimate 2nd opinion, however i could add my input to the diagnosis. The major probability is always power supply board and main board. As you have eliminated the power supply board, the next major cause would be main board. Though, either sustain board or scan driver board could cause this issue, however on almost all occasions, when the power supply board is fine, main board is the culprit.Make sure that the controller board buttons are not sticky and remote buttons are not sticky. You need to check the voltage across these. The suspected part would have the power missing in it.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Constant clicking sound with no picture
Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. Or, something simple like a blown fuse inside the TV. The most common board to go bad is the Backlight Inverter Board. It what supplies power to the screen. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptoms.
You have a few choices:
1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 - 45 minutes so the TV can discharge and reset itself.
2. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
3. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.
4. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

Those bastards manufactures are always making sure you won't be able to use parts from one model to the other. Especially-display! LCD panels could be rigged, but no plazma's. Sorry!
Sell it for parts to some repair shop and get yourself LCD or LED panel. Plazma is gone!

Samsung HP-T4264 will not autoprogram, locks up on
Reset to factory specifications by turning tv on, and then using the remote, hit power off, mute key, 1, 8, 2, and power on. Interval between key strokes is less than 3 seconds. When tv comes back on it shows Service Mode Display, key up to reset and press enter. Was able to autoprogram without any problems.
Samsung TV Power Supply Board
I doubt that moisture damaged the SMPS bd.
There are many circuit boards in your set and it will take a trained samsung tech to find the problem.
