Make sure your refrigerator is level. also check that the ice maker inside the refrigerator is level after leveling the fridge.

The water dispensing and the things freezeing is related. The problem is a the air damper that located in the upper left side wall of the freshfood section is sticking open and allowing too much cold air to flow into the freshfood compartment and that damper needs to be replaced. The part number for that damper asm. is 12571701 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;

You coull semi regulate the temp for now by turning off freezer control off overnight and back on in the morning till the damper can be replaced.

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall,there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear,that tube can be removed and cleared,then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Sounds like you have a defrost issue. Hence your unit is not defrosting. All of this apply's if your freezer side has ice on it. If not. you have other issues
Here is a list of some things that can go wrong.
1. Defective heat coil
2. Defective defrost timer
3. Defective defrost sensor
You should call a service company to resolve your issue.

If the water filter has been changed. And there is water going to the door, then the valve or circuit to icemaker is bad, or the unit or door is frozen.

As a rough guess on this one, I would query the compressor/ pump that supplies the entire systtem with cold water/ air. Even though the motor is spinning up, the pump itself may be defective, and this possibly could be the case as your system is meant to be under pressure and both cooling and cold water dispensing is carried out through the pump. It may also be advisable to query the pressure regulators and any return valves in the system to ensure that these are not defective. Also check for worn or damaged piping and seals on the rear of the unit.

If this does not throw up the correct answer, then it may be advisable to go on to the internet, look up your appliance manufacturer/ vendor, and consult there FAQ (frequently asked questions) area about the product, also look at the service guide, service sheets, and any support information regarding this appliance. You can also get this information by going to http://www.google.com and searching for all of what i mentioned here, you should get a result on this, and even a guide on how to fit any new parts yourself.

If there is no water up the lines check if the lines are frozen. You can do this by defrosting the freezer.

If the lines are not frozen or blocked , then test and eventual replace the water valve, that is part 17 on diagram below. Here is the part: PS2003637




If water is reaching the ice maker instead, check the ice maker inlet valve: PS381004

Volman, take a look in the freezer section and see if you have a heavy build-up of frost on the back panel. You want to take the evap cover off and see if the evaporator is frozen up. If so, your refer did not go into defrost and cannot move the air over to the refer side. If this is the case you will have to defrost that evaporator completely. On these Amanas the culprit is usually the bi-metal which sits on the evaporator. Look at it and see if it's buldged. The part number for the bi-metal is ro131661. If you defrost the evap your refer will start cooling again normally until it freezes over again. This will give you time to replace the bimetal....Catriver...post back.

if the unit has been runfor some time prior to connecting the water the fill tube may be frozen up, he solution is to turn off defrost overnight with door open and then turn back on, flush water through when turned back on to clear old water and air.

Couldnt find anything on you model #... Might try jumping out the door switch... some refrigerators the door switch will stop the fan motor.. if you have a wireing diagram post on here.. some refrig. have one tugged under front .. some hard to find if any

What tends to happen is that service techs have certain common generic parts in their van, and rather than ordering a part to fit and have a return visit, they fit what they have. Parts seem to be readily available. The compressor is listed but no HP Specs. Install Water Filtration Cartridge (some
models)
a. Remove bypass cartridge from water filter head in rear
right corner of refrigerator section. Twist cartridge
counterclockwise 1/4 turn and pull down to remove.
Save bypass for use at a later date.

Sharla, It could possibly be the ice maker rod that tells the ice maker whether it's full or not. If it's in the down position it wants to make ice and it'll make a clicking noise. Lift the rod up if it's down. Hopefully this helps!? Best to you.
