Here are solutions:

• Buy a drive cleaning CD/DVD, those from dollar store may also work, clean the drive a few times and it should read CD/DVD.

depends on what password you/anyone have set. if you must reset the password you need to unplug the little battery that you may find underneath or under your keyboard.

It is more on a hardware issue. The battery needs to be drained. Once on, let the battery drain and re charge it for 4 hours.

One of your friends might have set this up... I've done it before. You either got a crazy virus or somebody played a joke on you. Probably the latter.

Have you updated a Graphic driver?

This sounds like a display issue. Have you tried hooking the laptop up to an external monitor?

Try rebooting the PC, if it still can't see the network reboot the router.
