Ive pushed button and straps on my maxi cosy cabrio car seat will not loosen, help??

HiWhen you press the silver / grey button at the front of the carseat you should pull both harness straps at the same time and it should loosen the harness. If this is not happening the carseat needs to be inspected. Please contact your retailer with proof of purchase if it is under 12 months old. Alternatively please let us know what country you're in and we can put you in touch with the correct customer care team to assist.

My cabriofix is stuck to the easybase 2. The handle does not seem to work. Do you have any ideas?

Hi,The handle is not any part of removing the CabrioFix from the Easybase 2 apart from to lift the carseat away from the base. You need to press the grey / silver buttons on either side of the carseat and hold them down as you lift the carseat from the base to remove it.If you're still unable to do so we would advise you to take the product to your retailer with proof of purchase for them to investigate further.

Cant remember how to refit the sun shade

Hi,The sun canopy has a length of elastic at either end with a turn-over that is stitched in place. These lengths of elastic need to be pushed past a nub of plastic inside the sunshade rim around where the handle of the carseat is joined. Pull them past the nub of plastic and release, and the turn-over will prevent it popping past the nub. Tuck in the sunshade around the rim.

How do you put the footmuff on the maxi cosi carseat?

Hi,Open the carseat harness and have the carseat in front of you so you\'re looking at the seat. Slide the shoulder harness pads down the length of the harness and off over the harness clips. Unzip the footmuff and place it into the seat and thread the harness through the holes at shoulder and crotch position. Replace the shoulder harness pads onto the harness. You can now place your baby in, do up the harness + tension correctly, then zip up the footmuff to keep baby cosy.If you\'re still using the headhugger/lumbar support wedge this can be used underneath the footmuff.

How do you install the base?

It would depend on which base you have. Visit www.maxi-cosi.com and select your country, then select the base you have and you will see an option to download the instruction manual/view an instruction video on how to fit. Alternatively contact your retailer and ask for further instruction on how to fit it.

Release button that adjusts the straps is broken,

Just bought the Cabriofix. Went home and got upset when the straps wouldn't lengthen. As an excited father I tried to keep calm as I tried and tried and tried again. Good ols Google, put the car seat down and jumped on the net to find a solution. 2 minutes later and hey presto.......the grey button that you press HAS to be pressed FULLY IN. Not just press as it easily does, but with a lot of pressure it will sink in another 5mm or so then this releases the straps. So I'm again happy :-) and pleased with my purchase. Now just got to wait 4 more moths till baby is here. Can't wait !!! Oh and ladies, you might want to trim your thumb nail or you won't be able to press the button fully in, sorry :-( Hope this helps you all though, and good luck all.

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted using the EasyFix base (IsoFix or seatbelt fitted) the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 (fitted with seatbelt only) or the FamilyFix base (IsoFix only). If you do not have IsoFix points you need either an EasyBase or EasyBase 2 to be fitted with seatbelt.

We think you mean the bar is locked in position and cannot be moved to enable you to carry the seat and use it correctly? Please contact your retailer with proof of purchase if the seat is under 2 years old for them to send it to the engineers for inspection/repair work required.
