Hp z2100 paper jam but no paper jam
If you have both firmwares as files, then yes you can downgrade, but be aware that some changes in firmware are not reversible as they reprogram hardware. Keep in mind that this product is classified as EOSL (end of support life) which means HP no longer provides support or spare parts.
Printer will not power on
confirm that the outlet is live. If you get no fans or lights when you turn it on then it could be the power module of the system board. I can post the trouble shooting instructions for no power on the weekend.
Z6100 PRINT IMAGE TOO RED
1. Run the Diagnostic Print. Verify the health of the printheads, and replace as necessary.
2. Run a printhead alignment.
3. Run a Color Calibration on the media you will be using for final output. If your media does not support color calibration, you may need to upgrade your media to one that is supported, to be able to manage your colors, or use en external spectrophotometer.
4. Please report your results for further troubleshooting.
Taking long timeto swith on the printer
try clearing all previous jobs from t he hard drive- it only does File System Check when a corrupt file has been identified on the hard drive and so it is re-writing all the information from the eerom back to the hard drive ( usually a sign of a failing hard drive) suggest you order one on-line ready for replacement. (you will need a HP Z2100 hard drive from HP a standard Hard drive will not work without some tricky copying/backup proceedures.
Load valid paper for color calibration
When you perform a color calibration on an HP designjet you must use a certain paper. HP bond plotter paper should be one of them. If you are not concerned about perfect color calibration you can lie to the printer and tell it you installed the paper it wants. If it cannot detect that this paper is not exactly what it is looking for it will perform the color calibration. Just keep in mind that it might not be exact or may fail.
Error code 21.1:03
there is a solution in the user manual but the best place is to go to office equipment repaerer tyhats vlokal to you
Paper jam plotter
do you ever see either of these codes during the error-86:01 or 42.xx
if so this could just be a case of upgrading the software(firmware) of the plotter, there is a known problem with the starwheel lift mechanism whic is solved by the firmware upgrade,.
if you havent seen either of those errors then your problem may lie with torn paper in or about the service station area stopping the carriage from reaching its home position ( required at warmup) or the cariirage drive belt may be worn in areas ( the rubber belt with ridges (teeth) that spans the entire print platten and is attached to the carriage) check with a torch to look down inside either end cap of the plooter looking for what looks like mouse droppings. this is a clear sign of the drive belt aging .
any of the above will give you the error that your experiencing
hope this helps
you may want to call in hp trained techs from Belmonte business equipment for a speedy quote and repair 0161 480 5556 covering the UK
During initialisation it shows dat there is jam
during the warm up cycle the carriage has to reach both ends of the scan platten if for any reason it is not able to achive this it throws the error Paper jam or 86:01 ( both mean the same thhing)
what you need to do:-
1) disconnect the plotter from the mains
2) open the central lid and using a torch look carefully along the carriage path for any obstacles or debris that may interfere with the carriage motion.
3) assuming there is no obvious blockages look carefully at the carriage drive belt to see if the imprinted teeth have worn off you may also see what looks like mouse droppings on the print platen
4) remove the right end cap - move the sercvice staion out of the way of the carriage and then gently ease the carriage to both left and right extents checking all the while for debris, leave the carriage on the left and leave the service station out of home position, return the mains lead and allow th plotter to initialize checking to see if the plotter is able to move both assemblies as required.if not then call out a qualifed enginner to replace defective drive belt or carriage assembly or indeed the service station
What can i do
