Polaroid A500 Digital Camera - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Every time I turn my
Hi,
Sounds back-up battery is dead in your camera that holds time and date data while camera is powered off.
Please find back-up battery in camera and replace it with same. User manual of camera would help you to locate that back-up battery in camera.
Thanks.
Setting the date and time
Exit the menu that comes up about time & date when you turn it on. Then press the menu button, use the left navigation button, then scroll down to date & time, and set it there. For some reason when it comes up the navigation buttons won't let you set the time, but when accessed from the menu, it will.

Broken screen
well it could be replaced but to be honest you would be better off buying a new one it would cost you more to fix it than to buy a new one just like it
Camera will not stay powered
camera might have a hardware issue, possibly parts need replaceing, dont know of repaircosts. But I would recommend takeing the camera to a local pc or electronics repair shop for analysis. If no warranty exist anymore.
What is formatting?
Formatting from your camera means, it formats your memory card your using in it. Thereby it will erase everything in your memory card, so u will loose your photo.

Lost disk
Usually the maker has a website to download the drivers you need so your computer and camera can communicate. If you are looking for the photo editing programs that come with the camera then unless you registered your camera with the manufacter, they will usually charge you for another disc.
Memory card shutter wont close
Try closing it with the card removed.
If it will will not close shut, this suggests a piece of plastic has broken off.
The quick fix is gaffer tape it shut.
Indeed it is likely the only fix unless the camera is still under warranty, whereupon it will be replaced
Time & date
What could be happening is the you mother board is bad already. Usually digital cameras like computers use a button cell battery inside to keep the bios in memory or the board uses the installed batteries to keep the bios in memory but at a very slow power consuption rate. Everything comes down to pretty much a bad circuit somewhere that is causing memory lost and high consuption of battery power.
Also i've noticed that a lot of people with this camera is having the same problem. This called be because of mass production you all could have a bad batch. Meaning your cameras came off the assembly line around the same time.
Setting to store images on memory card
There shouldn't be a setting for this. Cameras have an automatic switch that when a memory card is detected it automatical puts it there and once it's full it uses the onboard memory.
If it is going straight to memory when you put the card in then your camera is not recognizing the card when you insert it. This is caused by the camera's inability to handle a high capacity card. Meaning if you put like a 2 to 4 gb card it has to much memory for the camera to use.
Try using a smaller memory and if this fails then your internal card reader is bad and needs to be fixed.
My camera
Sound dosen't show up on the actual camera, but when you watch the recorded content on your PC it shows up. This is because it has no actual speakers.
Date & time
My camera will not turn on either. I have only used it a couple of times. This is my first time to buy a polariod. I hope we have a solution for this problem. It seems as thought many others are having the same problem, and no one is doing anything to help. Please reply with some sort of solution besides taking it to a pc store. I just bought this, I don't have a receipt, so what is the answer? Thankyou!
Blurred Pictures on Polaroid a500 Digital Camera
Could be:
1. if her hands shake abit while takeing a image that might be it.
2. bad quality selected in cameras settings, read manual for more info on quality setting.
3. lens problem, is it dirty?
if this problem hasnt been here since the day the camera whas bought and none of those 3 work then there might be a hardware issue with the camera, lens damaged? etc.
try takeing a image by haveing the camera sit on a table, then use your pc to check if the picture is blurred.
You can take the camera for analysis to a local electronics or pc repairshop.
