HP LaserJet P3005 Fails to initialize. Error: memory test failure replace dimm 0
Exactly what the message says: the RAM memory of the printer (first module - DIMM0 - to be more precise) has failed and must be replaced - it happens. It's better to take it to a repair shop, i doubt you have the necessary skills to dismantle the printer and replace the module yourself

hp p3005n keeps getting paper jam error in tray 2 like every other page it prints and there is no paper jammed. I replaced the printer with a new one and get the same annoying error. So when you printing a large document you ahve to sit and babysit and keep pushing the continue button everytime it errors.
I had the same problem, the transfer roller rubber was completely slick and would not pick up paper (it would also make a clicking sound).
Replaced it and the problem went away.

how to i configure the ip address on hp laserjet p3005dn so i can set up a network printer. I donot want the ip that the printer came with.
Hello, When you first install the printer onto the Network it will automatically find an IP Address, this is called "DHCP". In order to change the IP Address the printer needs to be setup as what is known as "STATIC". You can do this in in a couple of ways 1) Type the IP Adrees into an internet explorer Browser, this should open up the printers EWS (embedded Web Browser) if it opens click on the networking tab - Chnge the IP Address , set DHCP to "OFF"and click Apply. 2) From the printers control panel - push the "MENU" button and scroll down to the "CONFIGURE DEVICE" to "I/O" to "EMBEDDED JETDIRECT" Withi the TCIP setting you are able to change the printers IP Address

MEM test failure Replace Dimm 1
This problem is one of two things. If you have additional memory installed, it might be bad. Remove any memory upgrades and trying restarting. If not then it is the formatter that is bad as the onboard memory has failed.

HELLO
I FACED PROBLEM WITH UPPER PRINTER WHICH IS SAY JAM INSIDE REAR BIN.THE A5 PAPER ALWAYS JAM OUT OF FUSER & ALWAYS FOLDED FROM TRAY1.
ITS JAMMING FROM FIRST PAGE.
ASSISET ME PLEASE.
Hi,
As i can understand whenever you try to print with rear door closed printed page should come on top from top output roller however paper gets jammed.
Solution:
Try to print a page using rear door open and it should come out from the rear drop down tray it printed page comes out successfully with rear flap open than paper gets jammed at top due to faulty top output roller.
However if the paper gets jammed at fuser with rear door closed than it is issue with fuser in that case you need to get fuser replaced at the same time replace 20 tooth gear next to fuser.
Thanks and Regards

We have an HP P3005 that simply won't pull any kind of paper from Tray 1, the manual feed tray. Manual Feed is ON and Tray 1 is set to Any Type on both paper and size. You run a paper path test, set it for Tray 1 but it just sits there and says Load Tray 1 - you put paper in to Tray 1 and it still just sits there - no reaction whatsoever. You have to switch to Tray 2 to get the printing out. Any one have any ideas?
Sue
Click File > Print > Properties to check your settings.
To verify that tray 1 is working, put paper in tray 1. Press green
check until you see Information Menu. Scroll using arrows until you see
Print Menu Map then press green check. If it prints from tray 1, your
problem is not with the printer, but with the PC settings.
i has follow this step, but need to press green check button to resume print menu map.
tray 1 manual feed set to A4 paper plain size
manual feed is on.
there is paper on tray 1
ps setting tray1 manual feed is A4 plain size paper.
send print to tray1 manual feed even there is paper at tray 1
i still need go to the printer and press green check button to resume print

I have a HP LaserJet P3005. It is just past a year old and out of warranty. It is printing very slow. It pauses in between pages. Did all the upgrading of drivers, software, etc. It still prints slow. Can anyone help?
You need to change the pickup roller. The rubber dries out and it is not able to pick up the paper quickly. I had this problem with our printer at work. We changed the rollers and its printing like new again.

how to make default tray 2 in HP Laserjet p3005n printer
HP printers will default to the highest numbered tray that contains plain letter paper. So on a standard 3005 Tray 2 is the default unless you have the paper type set for something other than plain letter. If you have an additional tray, then Tray 3 would become the default tray if it is set to plain paper. In this case, you would set tray 3 to either bond or letterhead so that the printer would only grab from that tray if you request either tray 3 be used or create a job that calls for that type of paper.
If this does not sort it out, post back again with a complete description of the printer including number of trays, what is loaded in the trays and how they are set for both paper size and paper type. This information can be found by printing a configuration page. This is done by pressing the arrow key on the control panel until display reads information, press checkmark (green button) then use down arrow until Configuration page is displayed and then press checkmark again. Page will print that shows all the settings for the printer.
