The reason it isn't pulling from tray 2 which automatically is automatically the default tray is because the pick up rollers are bad. Replace them and you will be all set.

Go to your menu and select paper handling. From there you can reset the paper settings. If paper will not pull from tray 2 you probably have worn out feed rollers.

The DIMM chip is located in the formatter board, that cage where the network cable is attached.

You have a pick up roller that needs replaced. If you pull the tray out, take a flashlight and look up into the printer. You will see a black roller. It probably is covered with white paper dust and slick looking. This needs replaced. That is all that is wrong.

According to the service manual this is a sub cooling fan error. This fan is on the left side of the printer.

50.4 is not listed in the service manual but fuser errors are most often caused by bad fuser. Occasionally a power supply or DC controller will fail but seldom is that the case.

Need further information as there are several ways this can go, some of which are fairly complicated. Does the screen state Download firmware over USB? or Resend over parallel port? It is possible that the fuser film is damaged. The fuser film covers the heating element. Open the back panel, and examine the area where the paper exits. The grey film should cover the same area as the lower black roller. If not, you will either need to replace the fuser or obtain a replacement fuser film and install it. Is the printer noisier than it used to be? The fuser bushings on these printers are notorious for wearing out and causing the film to fail. If the bushings are worn then likely a replacement fuser will be the solution for you.
