Dimm1 refers to the Memory module installed in Dimmm1.

It looks like a RAM module that is found in a computer.

In your case you may be able to solve the problem by ensuring that the module is making good contact, push it in.
You could also try removing the module and cleaning the gold finger contacts with tissue paper and then reinstalling.

If all else fails you will need to purchase and install a new Memory Module for your printer.

Remove the paper tray. Turn the printer around so you are looking at the back. Open the back door and pull down, it will click and drop further than normal. Remove the two phillips screws you see. Lift up the paper tray flap at the back of printer and you will find a tab on the bottom left and right sides. Pull those slightly and pull out on the back panel. It will tilt out from the bottom first, the top of the back has a tab that locks into the top of the printer. Remove the white cover on the left side of the printer that has the cutout for the power cord. On the left side, unplug the black cable that runs from the fuser to the power supply. On the right side, disconnect the yellow wire from the fuser and release the clip that holds the yellow wire to the side of the printer. Disconnect the purple wire from the side of the printer. Remove the four screws that hold the fuser in place, three are self tapping screws that attach to plastic, one attaches to metal. Remove the paper guide that sides just behind the fuser by releasing the two plastic tabs on the back. Pull the fuser straight out. Install new fuser and reverse the above directions. Be sure to turn self tapping screws backwards until you feel the threads mate before screwing them in, this prevents stripped plastic holes.When reinstalling the back panel. put the top of the panel into the printer first and then the bottom.

At the end of the printing cycle, when the paper ejects from the printer, it is heated to fix the toner onto the paper. The heating unit is covered with a Teflon film sleeve, which rotates as the paper moves over it. The crunching noise could be due to the broken damaged teflon sleeve, which requires replacement by a professional.

You need to clean cartridge

This error can mean one of two things.

1. if you have additional memory installed it is bad.

2. The formatter of the printer is bad.

If the unit is frozen at that screen, it is usually one of two problems. Either the memory is bad or the formatter is. Turn off printer, remove formatter cover from right sde of printer, Remove all memory and try to reboot. If you still the error then the formattter is dead and will require replacment.

This problem is one of two things. If you have additional memory installed, it might be bad. Remove any memory upgrades and trying restarting. If not then it is the formatter that is bad as the onboard memory has failed.

sounds like a mainboard problem, the printer will most likely need to be replaced.

Hello, you need to make sure you have the P3005D (duplex model).

You should remove the lower tray and look inside the hole. If you see a green button, this is for the duplex tray.

Not all models have this feature.

This tip relates to the Hewlett Packard P3005 Series Printer - General reference to most HP Laser Printers

There have been many reports of this error in the HP genre of laser printer. This is a generic fatal error; the root cause is undetermined in most cases. It could be related to an application "corrupt data" or faulty printer firmware, or the formatter board or other associated hardware or accessory. The first step in troubleshooting this error is to isolate the printer from any computer source - disconnect from any I/O ports, Network/USB etc... Power cycle the printer. Does the error still report? If NO then an application may be causing the error, try to isolate the file causing the problem. Clear any pending print jobs. If YES then Firmware/Formatter most are the problem. A new firmware file can be found here. P3005FIRMWARE

Pay close attention to PDF files with embedded JPEG files.

Pay close attention when printing Emails or Web Pages.

49.XXXXX ERROR
A critical firmware error has occurred.
1. Turn the device off and then on.
2. Try to determine whether the error occurs intermittently, while printing, or when turning on the device.
3. If the error appears while printing, determine whether it occurs when printing from a specific computer, a specific application, or a specific file. If all other computers, applications, or files
can print without the error, then the problem may be only within one print job or computer. Make sure the computer has the most current printer drivers, or use a generic printer driver.
4. Go to www.hp.com/support/LJP3005. Click Download Drivers and Software. Check for the latest firmware image version at the bottom of the page. If this firmware image is newer than the
one installed on the device and the device can receive a firmware update, download the newer firmware upgrade.
Try printing a job from a different software program. If the job prints, go back to the first program and try printing a different file. If the message appears only with a certain software program or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.
6. If the message persists, contact your HP Support.

If your printer is a p3005n you won't see a duplexer.
Your printer doesn't have one.

A p3005d, p3005dn and a p3005x are the ones with duplexers.

The paper feed clutch is engaging but not releasing. Either the clutch itself has gone bad or the solenoid that engages the clutch is sticking. HP's are kinda bad about having a foam strip on the solenoid that is suppose to suppress noise when the solenoid activates. Problem is the foam wears thru to the adhesive underneath so then the solenoid arm, when engaged, "sticks" to the adhesive and stays engaged when it is supposed to release. You will either need to call a repair person or dis-assemble and get to the solenoid/clutch area to try and figure out which problem you have. To get an idea where this is you would have to follw the shaft that holds the feed roller, the clutch and solenoid would be on the right side.
