Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen blacked out or stopped working, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! This model is a great one and well worth repairing. The display problem you are having is caused by bad capacitors on the power supply board. To repair the unit you will need to replace 6 capacitors and one fuse on the board, this is very easy to do, it just requires a little soldering. Hello,This is a typical symptom of a failure of the capacitors on the power supply board. When the filter capacitors go bad the power supply can not start up correctly so you get flickering or even no display. You can repair this unit by replacing the bad capacitors and a fuse on the power supply. This is an easy repair, it just requires a little soldering. Hello,The symptoms you have are very common on this model. The capacitors in the power supply are beginning to fail and as this happens they can not filter the power correctly and you get the flickering until the unit stabilizes. if their is a an power indicator in the front but with out a display or black screen, the cause it could be a busted back light or dry joint connector for inverter board for screen back light.
