make sure wireless adaptor is on( done through control panel) or external air card is connected. scan for networks. Select your network log on w your password. May have to disable wired settings. You did not post the model of the computer or what happens when you try BUT you can use a USB keyboard if the computer takes one and see if that works. That will tell you if the built in one is bad or if it is something else.
