Kodak EasyShare C653 Camera, cannot connect to my macbook
Hello my friend,
The easy way to upload pictures to your computer is to take the memory card from your camera and insert it to the memory card slot of your computer. i'm not sure if MAC has this slot on their computers but you can look for a PC or Laptop to do that.
if you don't have a memory card slot in your computer, you can by an all-in-one memory cards reader which is very cheap.

There is no fuse in this unit. The main circuit board is probably fried. All the capacitors and resistors are most likely burnt out. You can test with an ohmmeter to see if there are any with a low or now reading. Then you will need to go to shopjimmy.com and get new ones then solder them in.
Memory card protected
If your memory card is protected, remove the memory card. Look at your memory card you can see there a small push button push it so that the card will not protected. Reinsert your memory card to your camera.

It won't turn on anymore
Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts,
or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try
removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small
metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the
problem, check the Kodak
Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A
format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

Won't turn on anymore
this is an extrememly common problem with the camera's firmware. The system needs to be updated. Kodak will repair it for $50. ALso sometime wiggling the zoom/lens will help open up camera.
