Hi there, ok first problem; Ihave the same problem with my mp3 now, what I do is turn it on by plugging it in (through the usb cord ) into the computer, this turns mine on, to turn it off I just remove the battery for a second (this is dangerous, it can mess up your harddrive/memory card in the mp3, this said, I've done it like 300 times, no problems)...Other then that, I wouldn't know, it seems the circuit board isdirty/cracked......

Second problem: Plug your mp3 into the computer through the usb cord. A window will appera in less then a minute (a fast computer it will be seconds) a window will appear asking you what you want to do with this'device"..Close that window (x). Click the "start" button on the screen (in one of the screens corners), a menu will drop down, click on "my computer". This will open up a window. In this window you will see numerous "discs" listed (for example, the harddrive is usually disc (c)...)I had a mp3 player that was under disc letter (f) and I've had a mp3 player that was under disc (e), I don't know why, but you need to open any "discs" you have. one by one (skipping disc (c) the harddrive usually). Once you open a disc you are looking for a folder (it could have the name of your mp3 on it, or it could be just some wild numbers, sometimes it's actually marked "music"). Just open any folders till you see the music, pictures or video's you are looking for, then you'll have found the folder to your mp3, now you can copy the song you want (or mp4 jpeg etc) and paste it in this folder and it will appear in your mp3...

most of mp3 players are without system . they are only space , that you can format by connecting it to the computer and format it there . rate please .!

your computer is probably only viewing one type of files try switching it to view all

virus is what is causing the problem.

There is either a virus on your PC or on the player.

To figure this out, test the player with another PC and see what the out come would be.

Which ever is responsible for the virus, use an anti virus to remove the virus.

The easiest way is to connect to your computer via a usb cable. Click on the local disc "E: or whatever yours is and do it on line. Remember to use the safe disconnection procedure.

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. You can find the necessary driver at the below manufacturer link:
http://www.sandisk.com/sandisk-support/driver-download-wizard
From there click the drop down menu for your product type, select the c200 series of players towards the bottom.
One option will come up up, select it and press continue, follow the download instructions from there.

Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

Do you know how to use command lines on CLIs on Linux? If so, then this use this:
ffmpeg -i <filename> outputfile.wmv

You can try the Sandisk website at http://www.sandisk.com/sandisk-support/driver-download-wizard
to see if you can locate drivers. It looks like just the firmware updater though

i had to format my mp3 player to delete voice recodings

if it detects in your computer then you can try formatting it....if not,try sliding the hold key to off position then connecting to PC...it must get detected as a removable disk...format the disk...

Have you tried another set of headphones? Normally the headphones wire is what goes, instead of the jack itself.
I've never opened one of those up, but I guess you could re-solder a new jack into it if you were adept at that sort of thing...Finding the right jack is the trick, I'm afraid.
I'd repost your question to the sandisk forum board here. Also see this list. It sounds like yours is a common complaint, and you may have good luck contacting sandisk technical support and getting it repaired...

is that mp3 player have the facility to add memmory card... then see in the side of the player their will an space given to insert that mcardf

Cards > 2GB are MicroSDHC cards. Your player and reader will have to be compatible with HC cards to use it.
