This is common to all old plasmas, the vertical scan module isn't getting enough power.
Long story short - you're going to need to remove the back panel of your plasma tv, turn some knobs, and watch your annoying pixel storm slowly dissipate.
What you're looking for are little knobs that control various voltages. Most are these are shaped to be turned with a Philips head, and are sometimes marked with little clicks around them like a clock. If you get a flashlight and look, there's a description printed on the circuit board that tells which voltage that particular knob controls. Almost all of the tv's i've heard of being fixed need to have the VSCAN, or vertical scan adjusted. Make the adjustments in small steps and wait for a result.

OK, to see if it is remote or TV, please do this, Use the controls on the set, see if the set will respond to the menu, up, down,select, etc, buttons that are on the TV itself. Now if it is OK, then check, the batteries, in the remote, check, the battery connections, open the unit up, and check, behind the keypad, make sure all is OK, there. Now check, at the very wend where the IR Diode is, often it fractures, around that solder joint. Also ensure your remote is coded correctly too.

Without knowing the make and model, this answer is generic. It soulds like a "lamp needs replacement" light. It's either that or a short somewhere.

I would suspect faulty capacitors in your power supply, Take the back of and look on the power supply board for capacitors that have domed shaped tops, they may also have a brown liquid like substance leaking from them.

Replace these and this should cure your problem if it is capacitor related.

Speaker vibration can be caused by boosting the base or treble adjustments into signal distortion, which should be corrected by resetting the sound settings to default, as you have done.

Unfortunately, the next most common problem causing speaker 'vibration' is to have caused damage to the speakers through high volume or signal levels. This is irreversible and would require service (replacement) to solve.

Additionally, a 'vibration' sound can be caused by a foreign object or material that is caught in between the speaker and any mesh or covering over the speaker. If applicable, you may be able to remove the speaker coverings and inspect for anything that might be periodically causing that distracting vibration.

I have exact same problem...other posts have cited improper grounding from the Cable...which makes sense as the problem does not occrr with the DVD...I have not figured out how to fix it though...

do the external speakers have a amplifier or is it just speakers on their own?

forget the settings and connect your speakers using a phono cable to the:

prog out to audi amplifier teminal
should be in the bottom left of the connections pannal at the back

I have the same issue with my 42" Panny and the buzz has been driving me insane! This is a known issue, especially for panasonics. I found an easy fix that worked very well for me. Directly behind the top of the tv I put up a small blanket folded in half. This drastically lowered the audible buzzing from where I sit. I hoping to put up something a little more "designerish", but for now the blanket will do. Hope this helps someone out.

it's a defect. we call it red blinking death. the boards inside the tv has gone bad.

If the unit is completly dead, start with the power supply. Lightning can cause really weird problems.

There is a Fn key on the bottom left of your laptop keyboard (usually blue in colour)

Hold down this key whilst pressing F4 or F5 to decrease/increase brightness. The F buttons may vary slightly from laptop to laptop but they are usually indicated by a star symbol (*) with either an arrow down or up next to it.

When I first got mine, I used Windex and a microfiber cloth to clean it.

Now, I use Phillips Screen Cleaning Gel. It does a better job and doesn't leave streaks like the Windex did at times.

Whatever you decide to use, the best thing to do is spray the solution on the microfiber cloth instead of directly on the screen.

Using a microfiber cloth will ensure you're not inadvertently scratching your screen.

You will have to call an Authorized Panasonic Servicer. Any modules bought from them requires an authorization. Since your not a service center, it's going to be almost impossible for you to do anything. Play it safe and have it looked at.
