To know you will have to replace the entire board they are on--a gamble if you are sure cables and units feeding signal are ok.

That is a power suuply problem,i have the same problem i looking for a solution to fix my or i gonna buy a new one,also new onw is spensive on ebay some people offer the repair service good look

As suggested already the owner manual should have this information and if needed is available for free--google the model number with "manual"

you have done some obvious things here are more:Sound issues and answersa short list:sound on set or a box muted or turned down?speakers inside the set (see menu) switchedon or off?internal/external switch somewhere in or on back of set?Clearly it could be a audio problem (a model number?) but explore all here thatyou have not already done--make sure theremote set to TV and look for a button on it marked MTS and if there cycle it.You can also determine if same trouble when you play a DVD which you did.NOTE: PROBLEM COULD BE IN SET OR A BOX IF USING ONE--REBOOT THE BOX AND DO NOT FORGET TO LOOK AT THE AUDIO OPTIONS IN ITS MENU

Please DO NOT REPLACE any part unless it is confirmed as you will end up with a more expensive work than to get this sorted by an expert. It is possible that the fault is based on the processor as it trips off due to a overload. So you need to check for short on the drivers, check the invertor section .Check the voltage to the processor the +5 to the IC and other circuits associated. Confirm and then take estimate before any part is replaced,

same problem on mine, its a known fault on panasonics website and requires a software update

The 12 blinks is a communication error. Could be the quotDquot quotDGquot or quotAquot boards Panasonic technicians have a trouble shooting procedure to eliminate which boardis giving the SOS error code. Guessing at which board may be bad can get expensive.You can order the boards direct from Panasonic at 1-800-833-9626I would have a Panasonic technician take a look and give you a estimate on the repair.you can contact them at 1-800-211-7262

This is a fault solution which can be checked and corrected by you assuming that there is no component failure. There is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance.

The best way to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is powered on , If there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solder joints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points.

Sometimes the fault occurs when the set warms up, if so you can simulate the heat using a hair dryer on the suspected areas, try with the power supply, distribution, Processor controller, driver controllers on the A/V related sections. Also the use a FREEZE-IT spray can simulate the components to cool and show up the fault.

Based on the above method you must be able to locate the area of fault and solder the sections. Sometimes large IC's- ones with more pins- tend to have drying in some pins and so cause faults related to the IC's protocol. Have a rough idea of looking into the areas to reduce the time of probing.

Hi,

12 blinks(TH-50PX75U) is a "Sound SOS" detect upon self check of the unit. Check first the continuity of the internal speakers using the multimeter. You should get 8ohms reading and crackling sound will produce upon testing (the TV must be unplug from the outlet).

If you confirmed that the speakers are good, replace the A-board.

The tv power supply board is the causes and the problems.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

There could be some garbage in the main TV processor do to a small power surge, and if you unplug the set from the wall for 40 Min. it should reset back to normal.

My first guess would be the power supply. Check if there is power coming out of the power supply. the second thing I would check is the signal board. You can get parts from www.interliquidparts.com
