The scanner has a manual lock (a blue sliding switch on the base of the scan bed inside of the printing output slot.)
This prevents the scan head from damage when the printer is moved. some scanners have a mechanical lock to keep the scan head in place during shipping. Look around near the scanner glass, sides, and possibly even in it for a slide lock or something to that effect.
Look and reach inside the paper outlet and pull the latch (located on the left) towards you.
If nothing works then try the scanner on another computer to verify that it is not just a conflict on that particular computer or the card is faulty.

Your question is not very clear but I believe you want to scan a document to pdf format. If that is so, follow the below steps:

Position the first page of your document on the flatbed scanner and close the lid.
In Adobe Acrobat, under the File menu, choose "Create PDF", then "From Scanner" and then "Custom Scan."
In the Scan dialog box, choose your configuration settings. This will vary based on the nature of the document you wish to scan (e.g. color or black & white, images or text).

Click "Scan." When the scanning process is complete, Acrobat will ask you if you wish to scan more pages into the file. If you do, position the next page on the flatbed scanner and click "Scan More Pages." Otherwise, click "Scan Is Complete."

Repeat the above steps as necessary to scan a multi-page document.

Verify that you have the correct driver installed.

plz check the printer carefully, there may be some dislocation of some parts which is preventing the front door from completely closing. post back if more assistance is req.

Soak your cartridge in some water for 2min and then try printing and for the wireless part contact DELL Customer care they provide free support.......goodluck!

scan it as a document, re-scale it in required size and save then print in required size.

these adjustments are in your word or office programs. if you need to make it to copy, insert your original in the scanner, in paper tray insert your letter paper, select copy and then re-size, this should do it "on the run".

hey just open the back door of your printer remove the jammed papper...den resart your printer n then print...Robert

Make sure a amchine like this is not plugged into a power bar or UPS because it requires too much current and those tend to block it.

did the same thing cleared the setting and turned off and BOOM worked like a charm I spent an hour trying to figure this out...

All the fax numbers are Analog, just make sure the number with which you have connected the Fax machine is not Digital and it must be Analog.
Once you have moved the office the new number that you have purchased must be Analog number in order to receive the faxes.

however if you want to get just electronic copies of the incoming faxes then you can definately get it, you will just need to make the settings in your computer and fax machine through a technichan.

Can you please confirm with your phone/ fax provider if the number that is connected with Fax machine is analog or digital.

And ask solution from them. It is actually their duty to resolve the concern that you have.
