How old is unit? these have not been made for several years and locating any replacement parts will be difficult. the Finedrive units were produced by the same company as the Navman units, but they no longer support them except for batteries.

Any less than 8GB should work. These GPS' were made before 16GB SD cards were available, so they are not configured for that much memory.

There are many forums online that have insturctions for "unlocking" gps devices and allowing you to choose which software to install. If finedrive does not have an update - other software might.

Try hinging the antenna out from the back and angling it so the words FineDrive point up at the sky. It often takes 5 or more minutes to find the satellite, but it always finds it.

I have a cd with the programming, including the maps. If you send me a blank with a SASE, I will copy the disk and send it back to you. Or, if you'd rather, send the data card and I can reload it and return it to you. I have learned from FineDrive that no further updates of the 2005 maps on the cd are expected to be forthcoming. NavTour has not answered me yet. They may be able to fix any battery or card problems.

Yes I do. Please remember when using this device that the mapset it uses is a 2005 mapset and there will be no updates to that mapset.

well that stinks I had a brite blank screen and I opened it up and fixxed it but not for everyone to fix I need the dvd or card do you have the dvd as you may need to install the system software on the cards also

You can obtain an owners manual from the web site www.Navtour.com. The Finedrive 350 is the same machine as the Navtour 147 and they have the same functions and use the same maps.

If you send me a blank cd and a stamped, self-addressed mailer, I will copy mine and send it to you.

The CD has everything. You can copy the maps and and the OPSYS to the SD card from the CD. As I have told others, though, the mapset is from 2005 and the man at the factory told me they do not intend to produce an update to the mapset.
Also, the 350 was not made by Fine Tech. It was made by Navtour. In fact, the Navtour 147 is the same electronics in a different package. You can download the mapset at:

The FD350 was sold with a 2005 mapset. I called the factory and they told me that there will be NO updates to the mapset used in this unit.

The 400 supports Canada, the 300 does not. According to their website, they only listed those two models.

Your music and pictures need to be installed onto a SD memory card. Take an empty card and copy the MP3 or pictures onto the card. Install the card into the GPS. Use the correct player (for pics or MP3) and see if it detects the music on the memory card.

It seems like it works the same way if you were to put music or photos onto a Palm. It may need a special folder on the card to read the photos or MP3s. I would put it into the GPS first, let the GPS format it, and see if it creates folders for them.

did you know it charges through usb of computer you'll see the red lite on the unit cool and give it 4 hours

you need to reload the firmware in the unit and reload the map data on the SD card, this will fix your issues. as finedrive is not around anymore, here are the files:

I have had problems contacting them. when I first got my finedrive they were actually nice but since I have not gotten any answers to questions.

I need to get a data card for the 350, my dog chewed mine. anyone able to copy their card?
