How do I update the maps and routes in my 4 year old Navman Problem with the Navman N40i GPS

If it still works why get a new one. Go to Garmin at www.garmin.com Once your on their web page go to the top of the page and click on the My Garmin tab. Either log in with your user name and password if you don't have one then set up an account, its free. From there see what maps they have available for you but you need to know they do charge for the maps. Also they do have some free software for any updates that are available that are free. But the maps they do charge for.

my wife has got the maps on to computer but cant get them loaded onto the navman n40i what is she doing wrong to load to satnav.thanks dave

There are no more map updates for that device because it's discontinued. Navman should be able to offer you a trade in towards a newer device. try and give them a call.

Navman won't make any more maps for this device. You can call them on 0871 277 0140, I believe they have an trade in offer towards a new Mio device

Just reset it to factory settings.

or update the firmware it will take back to old settings.

Setup -> Update Software -> Update Software on Navman

The software could have expired requiring updates. refer to the user guide on any materila details that may be useful. Get software support on the online site of device.

Make sure battery is fully charged before using A low battery power will cause it to say stupid things like turn left when it should be turn right etc
