Tv powers on with pic and sound for 3 sec then off with green power light flashing.

That sounds like the safety shut down for the power supply board kicking in. You could shotgun repair it by replacing the board but without a manual it's a bit like shooting in the dark and I can't find the repair manual out there, but here's and idea of the component modular board costs. http://www.shopjimmy.com/hp

Power light flashing and tv will not turn on

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companies Philips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is it under warranty?)

Remember, TVs CONTAIN HIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk.

2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found online. I would definitely shop around though.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be.

I have a Tip/How TO tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. Here is the Link: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Hope this helps and if it does please rate it accordingly. Good luck.

The 125v 8 amp fuse in the back of the tv is blown

Hello, an 8 amp fuse that is blown is more than likely an indicator of more serious problems, but if you wnat to try another fuse make sure you get the same amperage as the one that came with the TV(8A-250V), try radioshack they still carry some replacement electronic parts.

My phillips tv will not turn on. the blue light

Try reset the TV first by unplug from the wall for 5 minutes. Then plug in power and turn on again to see if the firmware loads for DTV tuner. If not, you need service..Most large TV LCD screen maybe bad(short circuit), so that TV will not work.

Tv (LC3760N) shut off blinking power light will not turn on

I had the Same issue. on a 50PF9431D/37 set. Many Plasma Set's use a LJ44-00118A PS-505-PH Power supply from Samsung. Known to have this common problem. If you can, or have a friend that can Solder components?. Unplug your set remove the back panel & locate your power supply. It will be the PCB in the center of the set just above the Video/Audio connections. http://www.shopjimmy.com/power-supply-unit-lj44-00118a-from-philips-50mf231d-40.htm. Is a Link to a photo of the PCB. Make a note of the locations of all cable connections then unplug them all. Un-install PCB, Check all Fuse first. I believe their is 5 or 6 of them on the PCB. Then replace the two 3300uf 10v 105C Radial capacitors at C8060 & C8059. Look to see if the Caps are deformed and or split at the top. The location of the caps are in the Lower bottom edge of the PCB. A local shop may Carrie them if not, digi-key has them. Part # http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=493-1754-ND. Total cost was $7 with S/H.

If you cannot find the information in the manual or on the website, you should contact the manufacturer for assistance. if i was able to help my cashapp $ralphpapi thank you have a blessing day

I try to start a HP iq775. When I press the power button I heard one short beep and I see a red light red and then blue, and turn off inmediately. The PC won't start. The power supply works fine. Help

All HP iq77x all-in-one PCs suffer from the same problem of a faulty motherboard. This is primarily a soldering issue on the graphics chip, which develops cracks in the solder balls. The PCs contained a separate graphics card, which goes faulty first. This can be removed and the display connector can be moved on the motherboard to use the on-board graphics. This will eventually show the same issue. A short term fix was to heat the graphics chip with a hot air gun or other means (plenty of suggestions can be found on-line) which sometimes works for a few weeks at most. The only 'permanent' fix is to have the chip professionally removed and re-soldered; an expensive option. If you are lucky, your PC is still wired to use the add-on graphics card, in which case you might be able to remove this and rewire for the motherboard graphics.
