How do i find my ip address
Please tell your printer model. If the printer has a touch screen support you can view the ip from network settings option on the printer. You can also see the ip of the printer by connecting it to your computer through a normal cable and going to its properties.

Adjusting Datamax i class
If the ribbon is moving right on the I-4208 so far that you aren't getting print on the left of your label, the typical solution is to make sure that your ribbon roll is pushed all the way in, as far as it will go (at the top center of the printer on the black hub where the ribbon and it's cardboard core slide on). Similarly, make sure that the used ribbon that is winding on to the Rewind Hub at the top front is also in (to the left) as far as it will go).

Why is the ribbon tearing when it feeds?
Possible ribbon tear causes are:
1. Your Heat setting (Printhead temp) is too high - normal is about 10
2. You have something stuck on one of the surfaces the ribbon is contacting, i.e. a piece of label.
3. Something is out of place that is contacting the ribbon, i.e. a loose spring or wire.
4. Something is bent and/or out of alignment - look for where the ribbon starts tearing and examine that area carefully.

The machine prints about 12 labels and then prints
Hold in the Feed button for 4-5 seconds, which causes the printer to attempt to "Auto-calibrate." If that doesn't solve it, then slide out the Media Sensor (green plastic bar that sticks out over the labels) about 1 inch from all the way in ("in" = left if looking from front). Then press Feed to clear errors. If still get same error, then look for piece of label or ribbon stuck in that error - ok to blow out with canned air. Then try holding in Feed again for 4-5 seconds to Auto-calibrate again.

No screen
Hold down the feed button on the front of the printer for a few seconds and watch for the contrast on the LCD panel to start changing. Keep holding it down (screen will cycle continuously from light to dark until you let go) until you get to the desired contrast then let go.
