Don't used the Blu Ray player on the tv HDMI out put hub.Used the connections for of the Blu Ray player connections by a S-Video cable for the video and the RCA component cable R,W for the connections for the audio out.The high Def.cable box will not work for high Def. this way,but the Blu Ray player will.

That problem is called close caption..

please go to the menu using your remote then go to the settings and find close caption text..

after you find the close caption please turn it off after go back to the TV mode then see if the problem is still there..

Tv turn on now,have picture flashes only a few sec. than dies than sound left only?Yes,than those 2 long board call the LCD inverter boards are dead.These 2 long LCD inverter boards job are to help the LCD screen panel to have a backlight to produce a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those 2 long refurbishes LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

The backlighting is composed of 2 elements : the inverter boards that take the low voltage from the power source and transform it in the high tension , and the CCFL tubes that convert that tension into light. The tubes extremely rarely fail, so you must refer to the inverter boards.
To replace then you do just like for every other board: you take the back cover off, you locate the board, unhook all the wires and connectors, unscrew the supports and take it out. The fitting is the opposite.
Unfortunately Sony refuses to allow other companies or sites to sell new replacement parts for its products so either you look for it on sites like Ebay for second-hand/used ones or you order anew one directly to them

this appears to be an LCD if the model is right. If so then i hope u have extended warranty because what you have is a bad screen. something has caused the layers to separate, either a cleaning solution you used of just a plain unlucky. but to get rid of it replace the LCD Panel which is not cheap. Good luck. PS dont use any kind of cleaning solution it ruins the screens

Just respect the colors. Green output from the dvd to green input tv, Red output from the dvd to red input tv and the same with blue. All 3 cables (green , red, blue) are for the picture, so you got to plug another 2 for the sound.

Unplug the TV for a while and hopefully, that should reset the circuity. If you're using the original remote control, check for the display button and press it. I would also suggest doing a factory reset if your TV has that feature and if the TV allows you to do it after unplugging it.

The front and back pieces are like a clam shell and are compression fit with tabs into one another. You need to use something like a guitar pick or spudger to separate the pieces. Dont use metal objects due to damage that will happen to the plastic .
