Windows won't start on my new toshiba laptop

If it's reading the hard drive first, as it would appear it is, you need to enter the BIOS and change the order of boot devices so that it looks at the CD Rom first. Your user manual should tell you how to do this, but feel free to leave a followup comment if you want me to go over it.

It's expecting to see the CD to repair windows, but then isn't looking at the CD Rom drive first, with the result that it tries to boot straight from the hard drive and ends up in an unbreakable loop.

My kids changed my password and now i have no idea

You may crack the password and login your computer again.

Windows Password Recovery is right what you need in your case. The password recovery tool is designed to reset Windows login password once you accidentally forgot it or have no access to your system including Windows 7, Vista, XP etc. By burning a bootable CD, you can enter almost any computer with Windows administrator login password protected within a few seconds. Here are the step by step tutorial, pretty easy, I am sure you can handle it!

Step 1: Download Windows Password Recovery and install it on another computer.
Step 2: Prepare a blank CD/USB and run the software and use it to burn the ISO file to it.
Step 3: Put it into the CD-ROm and restart your locked computer. Change the BIOS setting of your locked computer to make it boot from the CD-ROM or USB drive. Note: start computer and press F2 or Delete to enter BISO setup
Step 4: Boot your locked computer from the created disk and remove your forgotten password. GOOD LUCK!

Hdd1 password

Most Toshiba laptops you need an adapter that jumps several wires across the Parallel port which triggers the BIOS to reset. You can purchase those online at places like EBAY.

Trying to find a way to reset or bypass the HDD1

The hard drive password is set from the BIOS configuration where the hard drive was installed and you need to know the password to remove the existing password. You can only remove the password from that computer's BIOS and moving the hard drive to another omputer will not allow you to remove the password or access any data on that hard drive because the password is stored in the hard drive's firmware. This password protected hard drives prevents unauthorized access to the data on that hard disk.
Removing the BIOS battery will reset the BIOS but will not remove the password.
Some computers have been setup with Power On Passwords and/or hard drive passords and it is possible to hack/read the Power On Password that is stored on an EEPROM chip on the laptop, but it is not a simple process.
You will need to buy a new hard drive and now you also have a nice paper weight.

Can I reset the HDD1 user password on Toshiba satellite?

If the password was set on the hard disk from the laptop that it was install on, then you can reset or remove the hard drive password using the BIOS configuration, you need to enter the existing hard drive password to this.
There are no back door paswords available, if you ca't remove the password then the drive is useless. This protection is use to prevent unauthorized access to data stored on the hard drive.

To get the laptop operational again you need to replace the hard drive and install Windows again.

My sound is not working on my toshiba satellite notebook a135-s4527, I have checked all the settings and tested the speakers and everything is working properly according to the feedback I gotten.

One of the first things I noticed about the Toshiba is that the classic sound dial on the front of the machine was no longer a hardware control. The dial now controls the master software volume control, and for this reason was quite a bit sensitive. It took several turns of the dial to adjust it from high volume to no volume, though I imagine this could be adjusted in software. The speakers themselves seemed to be of moderate quality. I did not try to max them out, but after a certain point the sound did become distorted on the music I was listening to, a Q8 Ogg Vorbis recording downloaded from Jamendo. The sound jacks are on the front of the system, which is somewhat of a mixed blessing. My current laptop has the sound jacks on the side, and this makes angled connectors favorable in all conditions. By moving them to the front, they seem more awkwardly placed. Without an angled connector, it seems that a plug could be easily pulled or leaned on, but with an angle connector the cable would then go out to the sides better. However, it seems that by putting them on the front, you gain a greater ability to reposition yourself with respect to the system without worrying about pulling too much on the cord if you pull too far to one side or the other. You must let experts fixed that problem of yours. God Bless

Serial 37237466k

To troubleshoot the issue properly we have to determine if the software (your Operating System) and the hardware are able to communicate. The middle man in this conversation is what is referred to as a 'driver'.I'm assuming you are running Windows...
  1. Right-click on 'My Computer'
  2. Left-click 'Manage'
  3. In the left pane left-click 'Device Manager'
Browse through the information presented in the right pane. If you see any symbols with an exclamation [ ! ] or question mark [ ? ] we need to troubleshoot them because there is something wrong with the driver (likely not installed). See attached image for a reference. If you find something similar please take a screenshot and post it so I may assist you further.2_13_2013_8_24_50_pm.jpg
