Paper doesnt go in properly and kinda tilts to the

Often that's caused by a sticky piece of paper that's caught on one side of the printer. People who print a lot of labels tend to get this problem. Or there could be something else stuck in there. Open the printer as much as you can to see if you can find it and pull it out with tweezers. It may also need adjusting so if you can't find the problem you'll probably have to take it to a technician.

I cannot use with Vista

Is this device on the Microsoft Hardware compatability list for Vista?

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749479(WS.10).aspx

If it is there ... reload the driver ... if your device is not listed there ... well that means the printer will not work with the OS.

Paper Jams

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam, or some bits of some thing stoping it.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

A few possible solutions:

- Open the top of the printer and look along the print path for pieces of paper.
- Press the reset button.
- Turn off the printer first and then unplug it. Plug it back in and turn it on. Wait for it to start up.

Good luck!

MP460 prints and copies but does not scan

Use Apple's "Image Capture" program, included with OS X. Also updating to the latest drivers may solve your problem, at least according to Canon. I haven't tested the latest drivers yet.

The paper is not feeding through

the roller on one side isn't picking the paper while the one on the other side is. Hwnce the uneven pull on the paper force the paper sideways and then jams.

This is usually caused by dust in the interior of the printer so try this:-

This is sort of scenario could be caused by dust inside the printer. Dust prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper. When one roller has a firm grip and rolls the paper well while the other doesn’t, jam/crumpling results. So I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front; if you have a blower please use it as well). This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

Hi,

I did a custom search and found a website where you can download the drivers.

Click here and on the website that opens you will find the drivers and software listed. Select your Windows version and below you will see a number of exe files listed. Click on them one by one to download and save them on your PC's hard drive. Install these files one by one and in no time you will be using your printer.

I want to scan a document with my MP 180

For the MP 180, assuming the all-in-one is connected with a good USB cable (and port) that gives full bi-directional data transfer and that the computer has the full software installed, press the Scan button (third button from the left) then Press Black or Color (depending on your document). Then the MP Navigator should open on the computer and then scan into the software.

I hope this helps.

I wish to print in black only with mp460

Open the "Printer Driver Setup Window" and click Greyscale Printing. All documents will then print only in black, it will probably reset when the printer is switched off.

Scanner on Canon MP460 will not save to PC

Hi there
I have a canon but I not use canon programs for scaning.

You need a program that you can use on your PC with this program you scan it to your PC and then print it out, ok you need a program like art or photo or paint or some thing like this that have a scan in it.

Read more below.
The best program to put on your Pc is what I use and it is Free you, it is called PagePluse SE, you should try it you can do all sort of things with it but there no scan on it, just scan your photos to the your pc with another program witch has scan on it and put them in the SE program and you can do any size you wont and after adding text to it or backgrounds you can send it to the printer and print, an other program I use for scanning from the printer to the PC is called PainShop Pro 7 witch is a old program there newer ones out now but I am happy just using the old one it does the trick.

The Free version is Called PagePluse SE you not need the version 9.

Ok here the link to download the PagePluse SE program and it not a free trial it a free, there is one you can Buy but this is all you need download the free one it just as good.

Click Link = http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/software/pageplus/index.asp
