No data is on the screen. How do I fix it?
That's not good. If your batteries are full, I would have to lean towards the LCD burned out either from water or vibration... it's really hard to tell without looking at it. If there is a way to reset it, I would try that first, by removing the batteries for a few seconds. If that doesn't work I would take it apart and see for my own eyes what if anything is going on inside, on the circuit board. I could look at it for you. Find me at http://NerdForce.us

NW-E003F and i am having FORMAT ERROR
Hi,
The FORMAT ERROR message may occur if the Walkman player has been formatted using the format utility in Windows Explorer. To correct this issue, initialize (format) the portable player using the Initialize or Format utility built into your Walkman player.
Home button-->Menu-->Advanced Menu-->Initialize-->Format-->OK.
Reset the unit by pressing the RESET button with a small object such as a paper clip. Reset button is located near the volume buttons.
If the issue occurs after making any changes in the SonicStage Software, then reinstall the Software in the Computer using the latest version. Click here to download the latest version of the SonicStage Software.
This should resolve the issue.

How do i format my mp3 player without a disk
I don't know if this is affected by the 'network' aspect of your player, but this would be the general procedure for MP3 players, where you can view the player as a drive on your computer.
You can format the player using Windows, but there is a complication: Windows defaults to "NTFS" when formatting, but MP3 players normally use FAT32. Before you attempt this, connect the player, and check the 'properties' on the drive that appears. It will probably say "FAT32". In this case, you can go ahead and format the drive, but be sure that you choose "FAT32" from the drop-down list. If you format it NTFS, your player won't be able to read it!
I have a new Walkman
