My walkman mp3 player wont turn on!! how do i get

When you plug it into the USB port of your computer does it do anything? If it doesn't then your player is likely dead. If it does do something then it likely just needs a full recharge.

Showing no database

Have you connected the player to your PC in Sonic Stage to see if anything is loaded on to it? Once initialized, the hard drive is empty. Transfer just one track and it should try to rebuild the database.
format the hard disc, it''s an option within the menu
Once you have done that, remove all the songs from Sonicstage CP. Get rid of EVERYTHING. Reimport all the songs to Sonicstage again and try to sync the NWA unit.

Which is the OS in ur PC? Win XP onwards it automatically detects any usb storage unless its damaged. Check for the USB cable. or try some other USB port or other PC to make sure of it.

I FORMATTED MY SONY WALKMAN NW-E005 AND CAN;T DO

This is because the firmware got erased as well. If you are lucky, your nearest Sony service center will flash your NW with the latest firmware code.
I've been unlucky so far. I have the same problem - and even though i know the solution, i cant do anything!
Cheers, Sudeep

Sony Walkman NWZ-A826 will not conect to laptop via usb cable

I experienced exactly the same problem on my laptop (Vista Home Premium) after upgrading to NIS 2009.

From Control Panel, I went to Device Manager. Under Portable Devices there was a yellow exclamation mark aginst my walkman (Micosoft Code 19 error). I read around a bit before deciding to click Uninstall. Once that was complete, I clicked on Scan for hardware changes, and hey presto my walkman was recognised again.

This is almost certainly connected with NIS 2009 installation as my walkman was recognised by another laptop (XP) which is NIS 2009-free.
