Hello,

If the fan is running its not in the defrost the fan doesnt run then.
the things that could be the problem are;
the compressor fan is bad so compressor over heats and shuts off
the relay on the compressor is burnt so the compressor wont start
the compressor is bad

i would suspect the relay first..the fan by the compressor secondly and finally last the compressor ..its the least likely thing to go bad

Your model is electronic, have you tried to turn the plug off and then switch back on after 10mins..are the lights scrolling?

Low on refrigerant which is R 12. EPA has stopped the manufacture of it and it is priced out of sight.You have a leak and will need it fixed. Compressor is about $300-400 list. You don't want to go there. Good luck but likely 15-17 years old....... New one ???

if it worked fine and now this started most likely you have a bad water valve part number D7827204 and it's around 55 dollars.pull out the machine,remove the bottom panel and the water valve will be down on the right hand side.if you have a shop vac vac out and blow out the coil and clean all lint and dust from under the machine

It is quite possible that since the fault occurred after the fan was replaced, it is very much related to the method of replacement or a possible mistake in the procedure.
If the insulation to the pipe was removed or is exposed to the freezing tubes,the water can be frozen within the pipe.
It will be better to have the service technician called back to recheck on what went wrong than to remove and take responsibility.
