I found there to be several model #'s for the cards but all were broadcam Mine was a broadcam mine - AS#: 395261-001 mine - SPS#: 407159-001 It has a sticker on it saying replace with HP Spare I got information from HP

The RAM may not be working.Try removing the RAM module/s and and cleaning the gold contacts with methylated spirits then replace the RAM module/s. If the computer still does not boot, then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test your RAM.

Could be a power issue.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

does it have a cardbus slot then you can just push a wireless card into it or use a wireless dongle or tell hp you want a replacement

Possible bad battery. Try to use the laptop without the battery and plugged into the power supply. If it works that way then you know the battery is shorted out or bad.

If you go to this website, there is a XP and Vista Drivers. Vista driver should work with Win7

Choose  vista OS and download wifi drivers

Call the PC repair guy and tell him to get it fixed.

Unfortunatly you cant replace it, the chip is an NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) this is built onto the motherboard.
If it is not working, its a new laptop.
Try to re install the driver

Check if the windows file got currpted. if so reinstall the OS

Depending on what operating system you have you can manually enable your wireless..

Google xp, vista, or windows 7 and add to it..enable wireless and you will get the instructions to enable the wireless without the switch.

Try it like this if you have xp

format the hard disk using a boot able cd or
if you have install a new antivirus then press F8 while booting and boot in safemode and uninstall the antivirus and boot it in normal mode. if that does not work then simply format the laptop

Go check in the control panel to see if the microphone is configured correctly.  Then check in skype to see if that is configured and try again.
