Disney Mix Max

The Max Clip video cards are already in WMV format but have just have a .smv file extension so it's not necessary to convert them. Besides the Max Clip cards are read only so it's not possible to take the content off of the card to be converted and then placed back on the card. It's more likely that the problem is the firmware version of your player. Try following the directions at the link below for updating the firmware of your player.

If that doesn't work there is probably something wrong with your Max Clip.

My mix max wont cut on at all!!

I would suggest trying the recovery tool located here;

http://digiblue.com/customer-service/faqs/disney/mixmax/14.html

There is a link to download the instructions on how to recover the player. Download those instructions and follow them. When you get to the part where it tells you to press and hold the + button you will need to press and hold the volume up button on the player while connecting it to your computer. If that doesn't work I'd contact their support department to see if you can do a warranty replacement.

Mixmax froze

The memory may be corrupt and it can't read the music files correctly. Open your My Computer icon and plug the player into your computer. You should see a new removable disk called Mix Max appear. Right click on the disk and choose Format from the pop up menu. At the Format window make sure that the File System is set to FAT32 and click Start. At the next window click OK to proceed. You'll then need to add the songs back to your player but it should correct the problem. When adding the songs to the player again make sure that you leave at least 4 megabytes of space available so it can create the library file.

How do you put music on a Disney Mix Max (512 MB) Digital Media Player

I have Windows Vista and the first time I plugged in the Mix Max it immediately downloaded the device drivers. I opened my Windows Media Player and it already recognized the player. I just transferred songs over walla they are on the player. Hope that helps.

Free 4mb of space error , now NO SONGS

Try formatting both the internal memory and the SD card. It's possible that the SD card isn't formatted correctly for the Mix Max to read it. Depending on the size of the card you may need to format it in FAT32 instead of FAT.

It shouldn't be doing that at all.
I would suggest you take it back to the store for a replacement of contact the manufacturer for a warranty replacement if the store won't take it back.

Shuffle mix max

That's not actually how you delete songs from the player. When you connect it to your computer you will see a new removable disk called Mix Max in your My Computer icon or in Computer if you have Vista. Open up that Mix Max icon and then you can highlight and delete only the songs you don't want or all of them.

Driving me nuts

It has to make a library file of the contents on the player. It uses that file to display the titles and artists when scrolling through the menus and what not. You'll have to format your player in order to clear it up. This will erase everything and then you can put your songs and stuff back on it. Just make sure that when you do you leave at least 4 megs of space for it to make that library file. Here's a link to the manufacturers instructions on how to format the player.

Disney mixmax for vista

The software won't install but you don't need it in order to use it. It's a plug in that interfaces with Windows Media Player. Since Vista comes with Windows Media Player 11 you can just go to the sync page to add songs to the player.
