Change the battery in agarmin nuvi 660 gps
hi Davidflip up the antenna, then remove the two torx screws, then carefully remove the cover off the antenna that you just removed the screws, then look down inside where the the antenna pivots....the thing that is holding it is on the right side (if you have the antenna flipped toward you) and it is spring loaded.you need something small to slide it toward the left while your gently trying to pull it out of position...once you have the antenna unseated (its still connected with a short ribbon cable to the main board) youll see two more screws under the antenna you just removed.....remove those two screws, then lay the antenna back in postion, but without the piece you remove that keeps it in place.i normally put a piece of tape to hold the antenna while i work on the gps or atleast till i can unplug it from the board.now take your fingnail (thats what i use so i dont damage the housing)and slide it between the front and back halve till you hear or see it unsnap..theres at least two on each side og your nuvi...once you have the case split, lay it down screen side up (you can remove the screen if you want, just unhook the connectors) the remove the 2 screws holding the mother board , lift the board and now youll see the battery and speaker on the back.let me know if you need more help or need someone to repair it for you.

Hello,
Try performing a soft reset.
Disconnect the unit from any external power supply.
Depress the reset button behind the flip up antenna.
Reconnect the unit to the power supply and let it should work normally.
If the soft reset does not work, try performing a hard reset.
Caution: Performing a hard reset will erase all user information including favorites and bookmarks and restore the unit back to factory settings. Be sure to save any information before performing the hard reset.
With the unit off, press and hold the lower right hand corner of the screen while turning the power on until a pop-up appears. Press "Yes" to restore the unit back to factory settings.
