Printer will not complete boot. It looks like it begins to boot, then power light goes out but comes on again

Most probably caused by a power supply failure or main board short. Either way it is not a repairable fault.

Go online to the HP store. Enter the model number of your printer plus the part you need. I've used this site a few times myself and have had excellent results.

With the printer switched on, unplug the power cable from the printer's rear and wall socket. Wait a second and then connect the cable back to the printer. Now, examine whether the issue persists. Magenta inks 3/4 full. not showing on diagnostic page. photos have a green tinge.

A few things to try or consider: 1) Has the Magenta ink cartridge expired? 2) Is it a genuine HP cartridge? 3) Is the nozzle plugged? 4) Did you allow the printer to run completely through its maintenance cycle? 5) Did you print a test page? or is this the "diagnostic page" you mentioned?

I have a C5180 all in one printer that has been used on an Apple system. I'm trying to install on a Win 7 64 bit and the printer keeps cycling and shutting off

Before jumping into resolving the issue, assuming a technical failure, make sure the Auto-off feature on your printer is not enabled. This feature, in order to save power, turns off the printer automatically after a set period of inactivity.1 Check the Scheduled On and Off or the Auto Power Off feature on the control panel of the printer.2 Alternately, you can check the feature through the printer software installed on your Windows operating system. Open HP Printer Assistant, and give a double-click on the Maintain your printer option.3 Click the Advanced Settings tab in the Toolbox window. Change the settings if necessary and follow the prompts on the screen. When you are sure that the Auto-off feature is not the cause, try carrying out the steps given below.1. Restart your printer• Turn on the printer and give it some time to become silent.• Unplug the power cord from the printer. The printer should be turned on while unplugging the cord.• Remove the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.• Wait for at least a minute and reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and to the printer's rear.• Turn the printer on if it does not automatically turn on.• Wait until the printer is idle and check if the issue is resolved. • If the printer shutsdown again, continue with the steps.2. Update the printer firmware• Check if the printer is properly connected to your computer.• Go the manufacturer's website and click Printer.• Enter the printer model and click Submit.• Select the version of your operating system and click Change.• Select Firmware and click Download. If you do not see a firmware section, there is no update for your printer.• Save the downloaded file to a storage location on your computer and run the files.• Look for the printer's serial number in the HP Printer Update window. • If the printer's serial number is displayed, click the checkbox against it. Click Cancel if the status is 'not applicable'. If you have set up the printer on a wireless network and the serial number is not displayed, connect the printer and your computer using a USB cable, wait for about 20 seconds and Click Refresh. Once the printer's serial number is displayed, select the checkbox beside it and click Update.• Click OK once the update is complete.• Remove the USB driver installed on your Windowsif you have connected a USB cable to update your network printer.3. Make sure the printer is directly plugged into the power outlet• Turn the printeroff.• Unplug the printer power cord from the power strip or surge suppressor.• Check for any wear or damage in the power cord.• Wait for at least 30 seconds and plug the power cord directly into electrical wall outlet.• Power on the printer.4. Check if other devices are not causing the issue• Disconnect the USB hub from the printer and connect the USB cable directly to the printer and computer.• Remove any memory card or USB drives from the printer.• Restart the printer.5. Connect the printer to a different electrical outletUnplug the power cord from the printer and an electrical wall outlet, and reconnect it to another electrical outlet.6. Try replacing your power module7. Service your printer If all the preceding steps did not help, contact your manufacturer to get your printer serviced. for HP Printer support Call Our Toll Free 1-866-293-9220 or visit 123 hp com setup Support Free Driver Download 123 hp com Wireless

When I turn on printer, the on light keeps blinking, then I hear this plinking sound. Once in a while the cancel! light comes on.

If the printer is about 1 year old or older, you may have bad printheads. Make sure you use OEM cartridge for this. If it is a newer printer, you may have a bit of paper stuck somewhere in the feed path.

My photosmart printer says ink system failed unable to printer.refer to printer documentation

Ink system failure is mostly caused by print heads. i do apologize but with issues like this, the best resolution is to replace the printer. it will only cost you buying new ink cartridges but it will not resolve the issue. :(
