It can't be done. The DVD remote will be single frequency for that device only and the LG remote for that LG Blu Ray (or series) only. Companies don't make cross-control between makers easy. The only exception is cable and satellite boxes to allow their remote to also control the television.

That will show in your network settings on the tv screen under manual entry network, or automatic entry try both and then write them down when it shows them.
There may be a backlight issue. Some of the LEDs may have failed causing the LED to stop working at the correct voltage. This will tell the main power supply to switch off as there is a problem.

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Well this is normally sticking buttons, but you say you tried on another remote. Do you have multiple remotes? Lift up all the settee and chair cushions and look for a remote down there that is having its buttons pressed. Also do you have smartphones in the family that have a remote function? One of the kids keep their phone in their pockets?
You can try resetting the television.
Otherwise new remote and if that doesn't work, professional diagnosis and repair.
