go to menu click on language and English should be on there if you don't now the Spanish for English if you know anyone who speaks it ask them , or go to library look for English to Spanish .

Go thru the menus and look for a language area and make the necessary change.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. It should be under warranty still but if not and menu comes up on its own I would suspect a problem with the keyboard where the buttons are---they may look and feel fine but they usually are the cause of this kind of problem----In several cases I have had to remove individual micro switches under the buttons to confirm or deny this---if for example menu is disabled by removal of that switch (not the plastic button but the switch under it) then the set can be operated with the remote-----I would see about getting it fixed/replaced even if just out of warranty.

Try to check the power supply output side where anything could came into contact with positive and negative line for which when you press play button then it shuts down.

RCA video cables handle analog signals. HDMI cables carry digital video signals. You need a converter. If you are using a component video converter, check if you swapped two of the three RCA video cables. (There are some A/V projectors that can do the translation of RCA and HDMI internally. Most TVs do not.) I hope this helps. Most modern tv remotes are not normally designed to be repaired. You will possibly need to replace it. there are plenty of cheaper after market version that will do the job just as well. Your other option, and yes I know this is a silly answer, when you want to mute the TV is to simply press the volume down button to zero then turn it back up when you want sound.

You need the TV codes not the remote ones. I would use the Remotes code search feature as the Sanyo has allot of codes and you may spend hours going through them.
