the lighting switch has poblem.

Sounds like a problem with defrost system , It could be one of there components , timer, heater, or defrost thermostat. try advancing the timer, down at the lower area behind the grill. with a screw driver by putting it into the dial advance and turn it till it clicks and the unit shuts off. now you should see red glow at bottom of back panel in freezer or here sizzling . if this does not happen then it will be the heater or the thermostat.

you can find out what will be replacement part number in any HVAC/R supply store. This is how bad compressor looks like inside.

I would go for 40 on the suction and 150 discharge, or divide the locked rotor current by 6 and charge so the current is 1/6 of the locked rotor current of the compressor, or by temperature/pressure relation 110* discharge and 35* suction, or get the suction line sweating. The best way is to remove all the refrigerant and then weigh the refrigerant the system is designed for on these critical charge appliances.

not supposed to be hot to touch, try pulling out refrig and vaccuming the coils, your probably FULL of dust and debris, also remove the kickplate from front and clean under there as well

By 'door valve' it is assumed you are referring to the ice and/or water dispenser operation. If so, it is located behind the panel covering the door opening where the fill mechanism is located. This is typically held in place by clips, molded into the panel and the valve or dispenser opening is a solenoid. You would greatly benefit through the assitance of an appliance repairman.

pull out the ice bycket,you'll see a metal piece that connects to the auger motor,if you see ice there heat it up with a hair dryer the motor could be frozen or the auger motor is bad,send the model number,also open the door,remove the ice bucket,hold in the door switch and push on the part to let the ice come out,do you hear a humming sound or can you hear the motor run,if not bad auger motor.

if the evap coil doesn't have an even frost pattern on it and you only are seeing some frost just on the top of coil you have a freon leak or sealed system problem and it could be in the evap coil but either way it would be cheaper to get a new machine.hope this helps you out.

Deforst freezer and ref. wipe dry. Reset controls to starting point. Check temp. 0 in fez. 38-40 in ref. keep advancing settings until you reach temp. Also, vaccum behind unit

Sounds like you are losing power to the water valve. The only way to be certain, would be to use a volt ohm meter and test. Push in and out, repeatedly with a glass you can usually tell, if the dispenser switch Clicks or not. If the Switch were "no Good" you won't here it or Feel it "Clicking". It's not likely, but if it were mine... I 'd want to get back there and look to make sure I don't have a "Crack" in the plastic Fill Tube and it's getting wet back there -Just to be safe.

Not totally up with that Amana but just check you have not inadvertantly set it up to fill at a certain level, low, meduim, high etc.

Then I'd say it's not the fan, test the defrost heater element.

No it should not read that if you are putting freon in you have a serious leak somewhere that can lead to a compressor issue

did you check on the inside panels of the dryer

hi janice.why do u want know? rarely people look for the drain pan.generally its right under the pull out plinth under the door.if not then it has to b behind the panel at the back.good luck ALI

HI THERE.well its quite long winded and complicated but try this first.defrost the whole lot for 24 to 48 hours first.doors opened lots of heat (mind the water leak) then try.if ok it could because the door was left opened accidentally .good luck ALI
