i do not know if you solved the problem some of those little micro cruzers have sliding locking switch that slide back and forth to lock it no one else can use it.. take real close look at it see if it does that might help you use it....

There is a special software that you can use to open your file. Your file needs to be decompress first since it was already converted to VEM format.

Download first the driver below and run it to decompress your VEM files.
Decompression_v101.exe

What is the full error message when you try to format it?

you can enter into your pen drive by clicking start menu, then click run and type (pen drive driver such as j: ) and click ok button.

I have a kingston DT10 pendrive. When you plug in the pendrive to any computer, it say the pendrive needs to format. When you click format, then it say that windows cannot format the disk. I've try large number of software such as HD Guru Low level format but it's also useless. The problems start when a virus attacking my pendrive then suddenly hidding all my files. It's not a big deal to me to open it using up level button on the winrar system. But, the problem starts when im deleting a strange folder named 3hkgj..... something like that.

There is no problem with the pen drive, there is a problem with the music player.....
if you wanna play the songs on the computer then play it with VLC player...download free player from the following link :

if you wanna play the song in your HI-FI music player or in your Car's music system , then convert them to ".mp3" format..... here is how you can convert to .mp3 format....

You can reformat it back to any format for windows or mac.

Is it that you have information on the usb drive that you dont want to errase?

Just plug it into your windows pc, go to computer, locate the drive from the list, right click on your sony usb drive, from the drop down click on FORMAT, and follow the instructions.

Goto my computer and right click, left click on properties and find device manager.
Scroll down until you find universal serial bus controllers click on the + sign, right click on 'Enhanced Host Controller', right click and choose update driver, use the internet option to download updated driver, this should hopefully resolve your USB problem.
If it does not update and the usb drivers and they seem fine, then the problem could be with the flash drive, try the drive in another computer to check that it is working.
