Hi,
First check and make sure your computer can actually communicate with the router. If it can't communicate then that is where your problem lies.
-Plug your computer directly into the router using a Ethernet Cable(patch / cat5). Once you have them plugged in, and all connections are connected firmly, turn off all the devices.
-After 10 seconds turn on your modem, after 30 seconds turn on your modem and after another 30 seconds turn on your computer.
The address you use to connect to your router through the internet browser is called the
Gateway Address. It is the IP addressed assigned to the router. By default, the address is 192.168.0.1 so you are using the correct address.
From the computer, we can check to see what address is assigned to the router.
From Windows,
-Go to Start and click Run. In the Run box type "command" or "cmd". You will get a black MS-DOS window.
-In this Window type "ipconfig /all" and then you will get output like in the picture below(but maybe not exactly like it).
The "gateway" field is what we are looking for and is the address you will type in your browser. If this is something different then 192.168.0.1 then try that and you should be able to access the configuration page for your router. Once you log in, you can configure your security settings.
For reference, you can click
here for the "quick install guide" for your router.
The above steps should get you up and running. If not, you may want to try a hard reset of the router. Reference the link above. Usually, this is done by pressing and holding the small reset button for 30 seconds then releasing. Be warned, this will reset the router to factory defaults and you may lose any personal settings you configured.
If you are still having trouble please comment back and I will continue to assist you.
