Bryant 462AJC021BA Air Conditioner - Page 2 Questions & Answers
We have a 6 year old air conditioner Byrant 591B.
You picked the wrong picture...lol. You have a split system and that humm you hear comes from the contactor. That means the thermostat is asking the compressor which is outside to come on. If you hear the humm but nothing is working, Check the breaker and then replace the fuses in your fuse box by the condensing unit, or the outside unit if the breakers are OK. It should have a disconnect between 3 to 10 feet of the unit depending on your codes and city requirements. No matter what, if you stand at your unit and look at the conduit, it will lead to your electrical disconnect. It could be a sub-breaker or fuses. It is usually fuses because a breaker could take up to 6 sin waves to respond as where a fuse could take only 2 sin waves. Replace both fuses. As time goes on, fuses become warn from constant load changes and heat and sooner a latter, they just wear out like any other component. Change the fuses and fire your unit back up. If it pops the new breakers, you have other issues and it's time to call an HVAC guys.

We have a Bryant unit and the air compessor
This could be one of many problems which could include a contactor malfunction, thermostat malfunction or some type of short in the control circuit.
Unless you are comfortable with electricity and the use of a multimeter and wiring diagrams/schematics, I suggest you call a professional regarding this issue.

Ac compressor runs, no blower
so the outside compressor and fan are working good ? If the fan and capacitor check out good then check that the wire from the thermostat for the fan (usually green and tied to grey on a bryant) has voltage and if it does the control board needs replaced because it contains the fan relay

The bearings in the fan motor (at top of outdoor unit) are worn
Gotta say no to all of your questions.
The blade is a seperate part from the motor itself. If the blade is still good it can be put on the new motor. Best to use the same fan blade because they'll all pitched differently according to the amps it draws with the motor it's attached to. You could go to an HVAC supply house and get the exact replacement or W.W. Grainger is usually pretty good. If you don't have an outlet near you, they have an on line ordering site too.
p.s. be sure the motor is turning the correct direction.

5 amp fuse in central Airconditioning unit keeps
You have an intermitent short in your low voltage wires. You need to trace the wire all the way to the A/H and then to the condensing unit. I bet you will find a bare spot. Check where the wire goes through the brick to the condensing unit. Ground squirrels are bad about chewing though the insulation. if this is where the short is, replace the wire from the A/H to condensing unit.

Bryant-Carrier Furnace Fan Stays On
I suspect a bad fan relay or bad fan control. Maybe the longer the control or relay is in the on position the more chance of it sticking on.

My AC NO COLLING
if your sayin the unit isnt cooling then you need to see if it blows any air at all if so and its just warm or regular air then fist check your run capacitor to see if thats bad and at the same time put your hand on the top of compressor to see if thats running it should feel like a humm if not running copressor is probably bad if it is running then most likely its low on freon and if thats the case you have a freon leak some where in system and the new freon laws these days are requiring the a/c company to find and fix leak before adding freon .some companies will just fill it and the same problem will accur soon again.send back more info ,like is unit blowin air is compressor running and i can pinpoint problem easier thanks and let me know the outcome

Air handlers unit does not shut off i have to shut
Make sure the thermostat is set in the auto possition, if yes and still doesn't stop when it riches the temperature is set for, probably the fan relay is bad or the thermostat is wiring wrong.
