This is just a shot in the dark, but if there is no "reset" button, you might try unplugging it for a couple of minutes and it should reset itself. Just a guess. If you have an owners manual, I would check there to find how to solve this problem, but this may indicate the print heads are damaged in that area. You might enter the "menu" if there is one, and run any maintenance tools available to see if that corrects the problem. If you don't have an owner's manual, you might be able to find one at the printer manufacturer's website in the support section. when you press the 'red' button, it probably says 'paper mismatch, or load "XXX" paper, and you can override it by selecting one of your paper trays manually? It is likely a "legal size document' and you don't have legal size paper loaded, or something along those lines. Try printing the document after manually selecting the paper size/tray (turning off auto paper select) in your printer preferences dialog box on your PC first.

Clean the **** glass. It is a long skinny glass to the left of the big rectangular glass under the feeder. Clean it and your problem should go away.

You can set your print job to print with no color. When you go to print, there should be an options / settings tab. click that and set it to print black and white.

its a moisture issue in the paper. try nice new dry paper and i bet it works fine
