Pull out the paper tray from the left side of machine. Insure paper stack is not above the full line located on the back stop, and the back stop in in proper position (labeled on cassette base near the center slots) Also, insure the paper stack is underneath the metal separation claws.
The indication that there are 2 symetrically arranged smudges tells us that the feed pollers are in fact trying to feed the paper, but are not gripping well enough to feed it. On the right side of the copier, at the bottom, is a spring loaded jam removal cover that pivots downward. Open this cover to reach in and clean off the feed rollers. Cotton ball with rubbing alcohol normally does the trick. Just make sure the rollers are dry before trying to feed again. You can also feed single sheets through the bypass feeder. 542 errors could be an accumulation of toner on a thermistor for the fusing lamps or a thermostat going out or the connector block or power supply board failling.

You can change the time setting by pressing "UserTools" the selecting "System Settings" and then selecting "Timer" settings. There you will find the time setting.

Check the fuser units geares,the main motor thermofusese and thermistors and the main motors driver.

Polygon mirror motor is bad. Sometimes you can put a drop of oil on the shaft, but at best is a temporary fix. You'll end up having to replace it. Good luck

if the machine is a plack and white ricoh then the new error code is for the thermistors in the fuser they are not sending the correct temp readings check the fuser for toner build up on the surfaces of the thermistors and check the thermo fuses to see if they are blown....GOOD LUCK aa>>

could be a failed ccd unit or it needs the charge corona replaced or the drum replaced

contact your local lanier dealer and tell them what you need. beware though the 5645 is a few years old, it may not be available

The maintenance time is flashing.To be use the service enter code C-0-0-C or C -Interrupt-0-Interrupt,then press 20(maintenance counter clear) and 72 maintenance preset counter setting for a new value.

Fuser warm up problem. Cause needs to be fixed and then code can be reset in service mode by a tech.

you need to have the scan option. the nic option . print option. you need the the machine being able to print. after that create a folder that is shared on the pc. get the name of the pc. on the machine browse the network, find the pc and search for the folder. this is the shortend version. now you can scan to the pc

check the td sensor it has a high reading.. if this is a colour machine check the yellow dev unit.. some times the gears jam and can cause errors it may need replacing

Hello sir; There are two way to get rip off the lines,# 1 , aat the end of the transfer belt there have a cleaning unit , clean up , if need to replace cleaning blade , change it. #2 , after you copy , pull out each drum unit check it out see which drum with the line on it, replace that drum unit.
