Have you already tried going to an appliance or electronics store in your area and ask them if they have a compatible cord for your Betty Crocker Gourmet Indoor Grill? Most of the time, a suitable substitute exists, just as long as you make sure that the new cord is of the same gauge, etc. Also, you may try at eBay they often sell power cords that are either identical to or compatible with various appliances.

On the rear of the Display Panel there is a Capacitor and that capacitor regulates the voltage to the LCD Screen. When they fail completely that screen is dark. Prior to that time the display gets dimmer as time goes on. The problem will be getting to it. The other possibility is that the main control board has failed and is not supplying power to it. Question edited for clarity and toss in some CAPS. It appears to be an unknown model. If it is a standard plug in kettle, you can get leads on Amazon or in Walmart / Home Depot.
