"first remove the power to the unit, pop the top lid off, (4 screws) then u will see a controle board secured on top, there are 2 screswes on teh side, becareful not to break any of the wires connected to the board when sliding out of the way. below this board is where the tape is located. You should notice a number of visable plastic grears onthe side of the loading mechanisim. there reall is only one u need to be concerned with, It is Located on the left side of the motor, motor is located to the rear left side of the mechanisim. there u will see a long a FLAT gear, just to the left of the motor, there is a small amount of play in this gear, push this geer twords the rear of the unit and hold it there, reinsert the powersupply and press eject, this will tigger the eject mechanism and pop the tape out"

It` probbably problem in DC to DC converter unit, you don`t have one of power supply on it,and also can be that power supply have been disteract with something ( IC cirkle,drivers for motor etc....) Problem is very hard,you must have profesional help. Good luck!

HlloJust do a reset option to the receiver. The reset [a very small hole marked 'reset', can be located at the back side of the set. Just push in to it, with a tip of a ball point pen or such object, to reset the DSR. In most cases, reset the device to its factory settings will make it right.

try to use you channel button up and down while playing tape.

It will happen this type of problem.When your TG 2 Arm Assy and TG7 Arm AssyY SPRING, Extension is not in its place.Normally it should be in Center.checked and tape Tension

You must be sure that is not a software problem when you try to connect the device to PC.
You must verify the cable, not to be interrupted. Did you try another signal inputs/ outputs?
Where are you from? Service will repair it without a problem. Just call them.

These units have all kinds of error condition checking and usually will flash a number along with any message. Are there any numbers seen? Please post any that appear.

In the meantime, the unit will not function if any error conditions are detected. In most cases, the tape will not load either. This is done to protect the integrity of the tape.

Please update this and I'll try to diagnose the problem as best as I can without seeing the machine.

lvds cable may need to be re-seated

Pete, we are having the same problem with 2 dsr-11s.

The fix for us was the "auto repeat" switch on the back of the unit. It was "on" please turn it off.

The other idea was that the tape tension is very sensitive in the units, try exercising the tape (though exorcise might be good too) by fast-forwarding then rewind the tape start to finish. Tape that were tightly wound at the factory can cause this proble as well. Good Luck. Greg VA

You must put of upper case,and after that upper board. On board you only plugged right conector. That can give you that boardyou can move above. Then you plugges tape into DC,start up,and now try to load the tape. That will give you chance to see what is the problem with tape. It is also possible,that is broken gear on lift. Board have two screw,one on right,one on left said,it is easier to do like that.

it seems your tracking needs to be looked at.also have a look at the tape open front section button at side slide open with your finger.look at the tape toward the light,if the edge of the tape is a bit wavey not straight you will need an alighnment as well.
