If the tv has audio and video inputs why not use these instead of the coax input.That is,as long as you have an external tunerwith audio and video outputs.

Your tube Shadow Mask may have got magnetised and need to be degaussed. Some newer TVs will have a "degauss" function in the menu. This is most likely being caused by components. Do you have anything sitting directly on or next to your TV, such as VCR, Cable Box, DVR or stereo speakers? If this just happened recently you may not have damaged the picture yet. And if you move the components it may clear up otherwise you will have to purchase or make a degausser. You TV may have a degauss button. This will eliminate or minimize magnetic fields in the screen and should remove the de-coloration.

Also try turning off your TV at the mains and unplug it for at least two three hours, your TV should degauss the tube at power up. If this doesn't work you need to take it to the shop to get it diagnosed.Please get back to us if you have any further query or else accept the solution.

Normally all sanyo kits have two remote acces codes. One is Press Sleep Button on the remote handet and Menu button on the front panel of the TV simoultaneously.
Second is a tricky one.
Press Volume+/Vol_ to set the volume level to zero and press 'REP' on the remote control hanset aln loosen.
Keep pressing Vol+/Vol_ on the unit and press 'REP' on the remote control again.
Factory status will be displayed.
This is the service mode. You can adjust the parameters with the help of programe and volume control buttons.
To exit from the service mode, do the above said three again, unless the chaged parameters will not be stored in memory.
Another method is, if the hanset has a hidden key, usually at the lower side, which seems as a small hole. press it with a small stick to fit, may enter to remote code options.

does the TV respond on its built in control buttons?If built in buttons are working then the problem is the remote itself.open the remote control and release any stuck up buttons.good luck hope this helps!

a part inside ur tv called as "picture tube base" which connects picture tube to circuit board is problem sum..
change it for out of focus problem

U have the original remote.Push the button said input or video to get out back regular tv.Or push the button on the front of the bottom of the tv pannel said menu push that button pick tv. U don't try Website 1-800- Remotes Factory Original.To buy an original or compatible remote.

switch mode power supply are very finicky check the opto coupler isolator of proper operation, also is there a non polarized capacitor at the high or hot side of the power supply, if so replace it, this can be the cause of the fault to begin with, usually around .47 mfd to 4.7, non polarized.

I have a few questions please?

1. Did the coax fitting break loose at the edges or rim?

2. Does the set have Audio/Video input jacks on it?

the fact that you can still see the line when the tv is off is because you have been watching with the line and it has burnt into the crt.

I can give you these. You should try them until one works hopefully. 0506, 0311, 0612, 0002, 0428, 0802, 0412, 0619. Sometime the universal remotes will not operate everything so be sure to try the power on/off and the volume and try changing channels before assuming the code is wrong. One of these should work...

You need to unplug the cord from the wall. Unscrew the backcover and find the part that disconnected and connect it back, or get a soldering iron from radioshack and solder the wires that disconnected back. Good luck.

You would need to replace the flyback on this and your looking aroung $65 parts and $85 labor to shore this problem up. We can recommend you a repair shop or you can purchase a new TV its all up to you

Look for a button on the remote or front of the set that is labeled input (could be tv/video) this switches between video inputs and the tuner.
