Plug the HDMI into laptop and T.V first then turn the laptop on, I have the same problem sometimes just doesnt read it properly if the laptop is already turned on when plugging in to HDMI. Hope this helps
Check connections for loose contacts, and whether the audio in has been selected to connect the RC cables, and whether the output selected at DVD end is correct. Check for jammed buttons of volume or mute on remotes of both.
Good day!!!!That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..1. Open the back cover of your TV.2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter
Problem is likely main board (processes all signals) or even the power supply board is possible.Considering brand parts may be hard or impossible to find.
Was this set moved or transported? Is it possible someone struck the screen even if mildly? If you can take a few good pictures and post them somewhere on the internet and provide the location--seeing what it looks like might tell what is wrong.A classic description: set comes on but is a black swirling cloud where images can be dimly seen but are not clear--gets a little better after a few minutes but never gets normal.
Your MOBO or your video card is likely burn.So you will need to troubleshoot the MOBO first and the if no solution or MOBO is fine do the same with the video card.
Actually you should select Full Screen for what you need - it's the best setting if you don't mind the normal images being stretched. Wide will also work but sometimes the normal images will appear normal, not stretched - the image format here is done by the internal trigger from the signal.
The reset is for the image quality only, the format will be left untouched since there is no default setting.
hi,
As you mentioned the problem can be realted to the plasma display panel. If you can open the tv then try on thing. When you open the tv you can see there will be ribbon wires going to the panel in the top and bottom side of the tv . You have to remove these connections from its sockets. now you will see some commponnets in the ribbon cabe. You have to resolder the SMD resistor in the board. Dry soldering in these resistors will lead to this problem. Also you have to check is there is any cooling fan inside your tv. Normally all plasma tvs have cooling fans inside. If the cooling fan dosen't work it will lead to overheating of components and this problem can occur. If all thses didnt help then the pannel is faulty. Have added a video which will help you its a different plasma tv.
Hi well it is pretty simple to do on most sets, however you do need a service manual, for the exact make model, unfortunately i have been unable to locate one. However i am sure you will be able to sort it out by looking at this video, and also check out this master Google link, this should help. http://www.google.co.nz/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=how+to+change+dlp+lampHowever make sure that it is actually the lamp that's faulty? many people make the mistake of thinking that simply replacing it will restore the TV to as new, and it may, but also it may not. If unsure PLEASE call in a professional, and don't spend good money after bad? get a "Quote" and go from there.http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1225793/how_to_replace_the_bulb_in_your_dlp_or_rear_projection_tv/
HI
Try restarting, check that every connection that should be connected is connected.
Especially the scart connection, they have a tendency to cut out the sound or colours.
goodluck

Known on this model. replace the main tuner board and check for two LARGE capacitors that have failed on the power supply. This will correct your issue!
