Westinghouse LTV-37w2 HD have no picture, no
if it is just buzzing then the transformer has gone, may have over heated.it transforms the line in volts down to the volts needed to run the tv. so say 240v ac in and tv needs 110v ac. now the volts in will be making the buzzing sound but the coil on the 110vac side has gone. if you change the transformer. has to be the same colour and number. tv should be fine. as the coil in the transformer brakes its just like removing the plug from the wall and not do any more damage. so just the transformer will need changing.

I just want to know
The video cable should be a VGA cable, assuming your computer has a VGA connector. Get one that has M/M ends. This is sometimes listed as a 15 pin D-sub connection. Then connect a 3.5 mm audio patch cord (m/m) between the audio out (speaker/headphone) pf the computer to the TV's VGA audio in (if you want to use the TV speakers).
If your computer has an HDMI or DVI output, I do not believe that you can connect to the TVs HDMI port. (The signal from the computer is not the same as that from a set top box.) If you have a DVI port, get a DVI to VGA adapter and then connect to the VGA cable. (You could use a DVI-DVI cable and then the DVI to VGA adapter at the TV. However, space is an issue at the TV.)
Make sure that the VGA port is enabled on the computer. (Some newer computers have a different video port enabled initially.) This may require entering your BIOS just after turning on the computer. Usually you need to strike Esc, F1 or F2 repeatedly starting when you press the power button. (F10 is also a BIOS access with some manufacturers - the key will be listed in a splash screen that is only visible for a few seconds.)
With the computer and the TV off, connect the cables. Then turn on the TV and set the input to VGA. Next turn on the computer. (If this is the only monitor attached, the computer should find the correct resolution (Windows). If you are using a dual monitor option, then you may have to enable the TV as a monitor. This will depend on the OS. For my Windows 7 laptop, it's right click on the desktop and choose Graphics Properties. Set the monitor options for both, external or attached and click Apply. Then click OK when a confirmation window appears. With my Windows 7 desktop, it's right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution. Similarly choose the settings, click Apply then OK to confirm.)
I hope this helps.

Power light goes on but no picture?
Since the blue led power light comes on it isn't the power supply. You need to purchase a new main board. Try shopjimmy.com or discount-merchant.com but be sure and get the exact same board.
Westinghouse LTV-37w2 loses picture
Hello, you are getting some signs that your inverter boards on this unit are going to go out. By the sounds of the problem you could have a loose cable in the master or the slave inverter, or it is just an indication that one of the two is about to give out with in the near future. You can find these parts by visiting www.shopjimmy.com.
There is sound but no picture
Talked to a Westinghouse tech and told to unplug for about 3-5 minutes, then re-plug. It's like having to re-boot your computer when it goes down or starts acting wacky. It worked, I got picture. Says it could happen again, maybe 1-2 times a year is o.k., if it starts to happen every few weeks, then it's something more.
