How many wireless connections can I have

The 802.11g supports up to 254 connections, however, the bandwidth is shared amongst all the connections. So, theoretically, you'd have only about 200K speed if all 254 connections were being used (actually less). To limit the number of connections that can be made simultaneously, change the number of clients in DHCP (limit the range of IP addresses it assigns).

I got a verizon router

First i need to know more of your network infrastructure to help NAT (Network Adress Translater) problems can depend on lots of things

it could be a QOS (Quality Of Service) setting in the router, it could be RF noise generating from the XBOX causing loss of wireless performance, it could be a firewall ruel in the router, it could be some bad DNS settings

try connecting the XBOX with a wired connection, if all is OK then concentrate on the wireless part of the router

Lost installation cd for d link DIR 300 wireless G router

Most routers don't require discs and the disc usually contains mere documentation for configuration and help. Routers are usually plug-and-play type devices but if you're definitely wanting some type of program or information. You can visit the below link for your router.

http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=474&sec=0#applications

You'll need to specify by clicking the "Click Here" based on the revision of your router (A, B, or D). Once you've selected a revision, you'll be able to download the application and firmware updates for your router.

D-LINK router setup issue: We originally started

A way to get around this issue is to do a static ip address for the other devices in your home. You'd have to connect to the router and set it up, i believe its by MAC address and you assign the IP.

Constant disconnection from internet

Yoy may want to look into changing the channel that it is broad casting on. Most routers have 1-11 channels that you can select to avoid others that are broadcasting on the same channels. Also Wireless telephones, microwave ovens, etc. operate at near thye frequencies of some of the channels and may interfer, thus causing dropped signals. Go into your set up and select a channel other than the default 11, maybe? or another until you correct the problem.

Connect to dsn modern and

Your modem most likely needs to be powered-off for about 15 minutes in order for the NVRAM to clear the MAC address of the device that you previously had connected to it.
Unplug the power cord from the modem and wait about 15 minutes with the power off. After the 15 minutes, connect the router to the modem with the Ethernet cable and plug the power cord of the back in to the modem. One the modem has completed its startup, it should then work with your router.
If this does not work, then you may need to call your ISP to have them remotely clear the old MAC address from the modem so that it will work with your router.

The router shows it is

Hello;
First connect via Ethernet. Then
  • Click START'RUN and then type CMD
  • At the black window with the prompt(cursor) type ipconfig and search "default gateway"
  • Type the gateway address in the browser ej: 192.168.0.1
This is for enter the web administration of the router. I don't know your revision. But I will get you the Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version: 1.04
  • Aim for Status as the picture above
On the WAN section is the actual Internet. WAN = Wide Area Network. Your computer is actually on the LAN = Local Area Network. The Computer looks the address on the router, then the router go to the WAN for the information. But this is transparent to the user. If the WAN is in cero on the addresses, you have to check the installation. when the installation are correct power cycle the modem and the router and try again. Always connected via Ethernet cable.
