You need the upgrade kit - make Sears come out and order it for you - they know all about it, claim that the monitor should have been recalled. Mine was out of warranty, however I convinced them to fix the TV.
Haier 42 inch plasma
Many of the issues with this hunk of junk can be fixed by Sears through a "3 cards and a chip" upgrade - Sears will order the parts for you after they come out and see that sure enough, your monitor hasn't been upgraded (after the upgrade is completed, a sticker is placed on the monitor) which you most likely haven't had done. The chip will fix the problems you're having. I claimed this as "manufacturers issue" with Sears, since they know about the problems with these monitors and they did the work for free. The parts need to be ordered by their tech rep, then they are sent to your house, with instructions and if you're a little handy you can install everything yourself.
Can i get help fixing my television ?
Do you mean alot of snow in the picture? Most of the time snowy pictures and or interference while using basic cable are caused from those cheap push on cables that are provided with VCR's and VCR/DVD combos. If you have one connected, remove it, throw it away and purchase one that uses screw on type "f" fittings.

Progressive Scan Problem (works sometimes)
I had the same problem with the picture being unstable or breaking into left and right sides. I finally purchased Monster cable component video cables and all the problems went away. I can change resolution just as the product spec says. I can choose 480i or 480P or 720P or 1080i, I would try 1080P but I don't have any box capable of that resolution but I'm sure it would work.

Hi,
It sounds like the pixels are bad. I would return/exchange it. But that's me...

Am I suppose to put water into the Haier Standing Portable Air Conditioner?
Most air conditioners need water removed, not added. They act as dehumidifiers as they change the air temperature. What model air conditioner do you have? The Haier HPRD12XH5 has a blinking red LED with a triangle symbol to indicate the unit is flooded. Air conditioners can also fail if there is a coolant leak or the room is too cool. If the removed water freezes in the air conditioner, it can damage the fan and cause the motor to overheat.
The air cooling systems that need water added are "swamp coolers". That's the term I learned for the old-fashioned fan + ice/water cooling systems that work well in low-humidity environments. They'll make the area feel hotter in high humidity conditions.
I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of your unit for further information.
