Hi. It depends on the remote. If the remote app has the codes for your Sylvania tv, then you can use the remote. Check the list of codes that comes with the remote app and if it includes Sylvania codes, then there is a high possibility that the app will work with the tv. Thank you.

The Sylvania LC302SL1 is not a smart TV. You can only use an IR remote to control the TV. Otherwise, look for any universal remote that was programmed in 2011 or later. (Usually it takes 6 months or so for the universal remote manufacturers to get codes for new TVs. The Sylvania LC302SL1 manual has a copyright date of 2010.) There was a period when some phones and tablets included an IR transmitter. Unfortunately, this set may not be worth repairing, it has a main and power board combo and your issue is in this board according to Funai, the parent company of Sylvania's service info. If you can find a board reasonably it should fix the set but considering its about 10 years old it may make more sense to replace the TV. It's also possible the screen was damaged when it fell, in some cases you can't see the damage.

An EEPROM is an Electrically Eraseable Programmable ROM. If the data is corrupt, re write the programme if you have the software to do it. They rarely fail. Check the 5/3.3volt supply.
