20 Most Recent Philips DVP-3005 DVD Player Questions & Answers

I have a DVP3005 too, and this works for a while. Then suddenly jumps back 1 chapter. Then plays for ? little while, and jumps back one chapter again. I thought it might be a temperature problem(the prcessor was very hot), so I took the lid off and cooled it down, but the error came back. I have dismantled the front PCB, and it is not a problem with the switches, and it is not the remotecontrol that causes this error. Is it worth troubleshooting? [email protected] Norway

f the tray won't open or close properly, check the belt for dirt or wear. Then check the tray for misalignment. If needed, remove, clean, lubricate, and reinstall the tray following the instructions in the owner's manualGod bless you

Try this:

Press home, arrow down to 'settings', press OK, arrow down to 'system'
Press 5, 0, 1, 8, 0, OK

Good day! Try to check the rca jack video input.Replace it with new one if defective. Also check the progressive scan features if activated. If it is activated check your TV if supported by progressive scan features, because some TV is not supported by progressive scan.You can deactivate it by turning off or activate the interlace mode.Press the open/close to open disk tray. And press the numeric keypad 1 for few seconds. Hope its help.

- Move to "Preference Page" using arrow keys to the left or to the right.
- Press the following sequence in the remote control: 135566
- A menu indicating "Region Code" will appear.
- Change region using arrow keys to top or down. Region Code = 0 will play all regions.
- Press "System Menu" key to exit Set Up menu.

It sounds as if you have inadvertantly locked your dvd player. Try using the code 136900. If this passcode is accepted, then access the general setup menu (using your remote) and choose the Disc Unlock option.

Find out the protection transistors between buffer ic 4558 and sound output rc socket and remove them and also check both + / - 12V on ic 4558

I would take it back and exchange it ,,if you purchased it new,,But if you bought it used,,and cant take it back,,I would take the top off ,,You can acces the dvd to retrieve disk and maybe see what the prob is,,thanks and goodluck
