There are three possible failures; the new battery pack has a shorted cell, the charger is defective or a regulator internal to the laptop is failing.
With meter, you can check two of the three areas; the battery pack and the charger. Depending on which kind of batteries are used in the pack, if it is charged, you can determine if it is completely functional by checking contacts on the case of the pack. The most common type of battery used is the nickle-metal hydride type (NiMH) which has a nominal voltage of ~1.2 volts.  If the pack is rated 6 volts, you could measure either 4.8, 6 or 7.2 volts with the last one the most likely. If it measures 4.8 or 6 volts, it probably has one or two cells shorted, making it useless.
The charger could measure all over the map; many of them are unregulated and if they are rated at (for example) 9 volts, they could easily put out 14-20 volts when they do not have a load on them.
If those two items seem to check out OK, then the regulator in the system has gone bad. This might be on a separate board inside but to check it out, you really need some technical experience, otherwise you don't really know what you are seeing or looking for.

Was the hard drive contain any previous operating system? If it was, then you need to chose "Delete the volume" and "Format", and let's see the result after you reinstall the Windows 7.

You need to be specific where you need the password. Are you asking about password on Logon screen when your PC boots up? Are you asking about a WiFi network password? Any other type of password?

It could be the CPU fan with worn bearings.It could be the CD/DVD drive but only when the laptop boots up.Connecting a USB pendrive should not start this noise as there are no moving parts in the pendrive.

Tim Mckibbin,It might be the router causing this to happen. I would try updating the firmware on the router to see if this will help. Also make sure that it is your wireless and not your service provider. Try to hook the modem up without the router and see if it drops. You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. If it is orange or is blinking orange, the battery charge is low or expended. Remove the battery and re-install it. Plug in the AC adapter and connect it to an outlet. Turn on the computer. When the battery status light blinks green and orange, the battery temperature is too hot for charging. Shut down the laptop, detach the AC adapter, and allow the laptop and battery to return to room temperature before attempting to charge the battery. If the battery status light blinks orange rapidly, the battery itself may be defective.

It is definitely possible to change the ports by soldering a new gigabit chip on the motherboard, but it is a serious task your board may lose its life if anything goes wrong...
on the other way you can use a serial to ethernet converter, if you have a serial port on your laptop....
there is no USB to gigabit converter available in the market (so need not search for one)...

All you need is a new replacement battery. The old one has a dead cell that will not let current flow through it causing this warning for you

Try a different AC adapter, if no change the charger unit on the motherboard is bad
